panki_86 - it is really good and feels so much nicer next to skin than the Sensatec or smooth leather. I always get sweaty elbow when driving in summer time. The original is perfect, but only color is grey. And the price is also quite different

I like Alcantara. I also have alcantara M performance knee support and alcantara gearknob back cover (from OEM M performance gearknob). I prefer original BMW EU parts on my car. Everything on my car is OEM BMW, even wiper blades

panki_86 - agreed, alctantara is super nice! I still long for the cloth and alcantara sport seats of my F20. And OEM is the safer and usually the better choice. But pricing is outlandish in comparison and often requires more skill to install. E.g. installing the knee support is trickier than sticker I went with OEM M-performance roof spoiler for my G21, but in a hindsight - I should have chosen AC Schnitzer stick on option. Easier to install and looks better to me.

Wish they looked more concave to be honest. But they look really good though.

Are you squared or staggered? I saw these on the getbmwparts.com website as well.
Yes, I got the staggered set. 225 (8J) up front and 255 (8.5J) on the rears.

While not a G20, I am the proud new owner of a 2024 G26 and these are the minor mods and purchases I’ve made here in the first few days of ownership.

First would be my favorites, Painted Reflectors from IND and M-Sport fender badges from ECS Tuning. The reflectors really clean up the front fender and the badges are a nice touch restoring the car to Euro spec.

Next I was having the CarPlay GPS “drift” issue despite having a car that just came off the production line running the 03/2023.58 iDrive 8 firmware. So I got my service department to update me to the brand new 07/2023.35 version and so far so good. Fingers crossed it works.

Note that those with iDrive 8 will get a new Gauge Display that has different fonts and spacing on many elements. The font is that M4 look, very space-age, very modern. And now the fonts don’t match the fonts on the Control Display which isn’t great.

Next is a small thing but really useful, a short 4” USB-C to Lightning cable so that on long trips when wireless charging would overheat I have a solution for the armrest that doesn’t get a lot of long wire in the way.

This one is a real favorite, it’s an EZ-Pass concealer, a silicone wrap for the transponder (hides the white color in the interior) and a plastic suction mount (hides the white color on the exterior). Kind of hard to see in the exterior photo….and that’s the entire point!

The next area of importance for me is cargo organization, it’s one of the main reasons I left my Convertible and got back into a Gran Coupe. It’s a great space, so many use cases, but I needed a way to hold those horrible Tyvek reusable shopping bags that are mandated by my state and these Velcro trunk organizing ‘walls’ are just perfect. Extends the usefulness of the two wheel well cubbies by allowing you to put larger/taller things in there.

Along these same lines, these flat bungee cords are the perfect length to stretch between the two cargo rings and create enough tension to hold things that might otherwise fly around the hatch. My old X5 had something similar to hold my son’s sport water bottle and I really missed them. They stay out of the way but are there when you need them.

That’s it! Been a busy week. Thanks to all who contributed here and provided inspiration.

M Performance steering wheel trim with the 7 series galvanic buttons.

The brushed metal finish of the buttons and the paddle shifters and the contrast it creates with the carbon fiber gives a beautiful final product and adds some depth to the steering wheel, as opposed to keeping it all dark or all light. Also adds an aspect of luxury to the steering wheel.

Two things I wish were available were:
  1. The heated steering wheel button in a galvanic finish
  2. The bottom carbon trim piece coming with a hole in the center instead of the "M Performance" logo.

Super happy with the final product though!

Hey, happy to help. Both from Amazon. Search there for these descriptions:

A. Car Rear Trunk Organizer Side Divider for BMW Car Accessories, 2Pcs Embroid Car Trunk Organizers for BMW 5 Series G30 G38

B. Wideskall® 2 Pieces 24" inch Flat Bungee Cords with Hooks Black

And to get the "organizing trunk walls" to stick, you will need to buy this:

C. VELCRO Brand Sticky Back for Fabrics | 24" x 3/4" Tape with Adhesive | No Sewing Needed | Cut Strips to Length Permanent Bond to Clothing for Hemming and Closures

Finally had the time to install my second M Performance frontspoiler and the M side mirrors.
I killed the first M Performance frontspoiler in the winter...

The M side mirrors are original parts because i didn´t like the look from the inside that the cheap copies have.

Super easy! Just have to be careful when you pull the steering wheel off , make sure you disconnect the wire.

Make sure you discount both batteries and allow 30 mins for the car to discharge any current left in the lines per se.

Especially for the shift selector knob, you could end up damaging module board with live current.

Thanks, I agree! Sounds great. Only drove it once yesterday after installing and in the rain, to boot. So tough to hear while shooting a quick clip from my iPhone in the car, but you absolutely hear the intake and spooling noise so much better now in person. Here's that crappy clip (not sure how to embed a Flickr video, if even possible):
