Ordered my 2024 M440ix GC on April 1st. Hope to get an allocation next week.

Finally, my M440i status changed to In Transit on 5/02

Next stop Baltimore in 12 to 15 days, I think. I will call BMW Genius later today to see if they can provide a ship name for me to track.

Status of my M440i changed to in transit as well today too. I was tracking couple of ships on marine traffic website. The last ship which left Bremerhaven to Baltimore is Thermopylae couple days ago. But i will still check with BMW Genius and see if they have any update .

I am thinking that you are correct that the ship is Thermopylae. It is currently offshore of GB Southhampton. I think it is leaving that port but not sure.

I am not sure how long he has been waiting but my car got to Bremerhaven on 4/11 and looks to have left there on 4/30 or 5/1.

My car came to the port on 4/13 and status was updated into transit to today.

I just called BMW Genius about the ship name. I was totally wrong about the name of the ship. I found out out it was on Hawaiian Highway and was shipped out of the port on 4/28 and status was updated today and he also told me that it should arrive in US on May 10th. So, little bit earlier than expected.

Currently it is in Southampton GB.

Wow. Don’t know the logic of BMW shipping car… mine was 3/31 at the port and still the same.. Location. Texas

From what i found out BMW books a cargo on a ship way long before even our car is produced and particularly number of slots on each vessel and where it is going to be shipped to.

Congrats everyone. My status just got updated to At the port. I guess it missed the ship by a few days 🤦🏻‍♂️. Maybe mine has to get on a different ship since it has to come to Texas? The dealer told me it takes 21 days for the ship in transit.

Called BMW Genius and my M440i xDrive Gran Coupe is also on the Hawaiian Highway and it looks to be at the GB Southhampton port at the moment. I was also told 5/10 as arrival date for Baltimore port.

the dealership said that if I place the order in early July is should be plenty of time to have the car by October.

Does that sound right?

Its not a big deal if the car arrives early...but November 1 I have no car.

My current ride is a fleet company car that goes back no later than October 31.

I ordered my M440i GC on 3/7 and my CA had an allocation that he could modify to my specs. The order was accepted by BMW on 3/8 and I was given a production week of 14 which was 4/3-7.

It exterior assembly started on 3/31 and it entered the paint booth the same day. The build was complete on 4/5 and it was sent to Bremerhaven and arrived at the port on 4/11. It sat waiting for its ship until 4/28. It is now somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean and it due into Baltimore on 5/11 and it should take about one week to get thru customs/VPC and sent to my dealer in Traverse City MI.

All in all, the order was placed on 3/8 and hopefully I will have it by 5/19. About 10 weeks from start to delivery. I feel that this is actually kind of a best case scenario.

Does your dealer actually have an allocation now or does he have to wait for one to enter your order? That can add days or weeks to the process.

I configured my dealership's last M440i GC allocation on 5/3, supposedly at the last minute since it's at the "112 Scheduled for daily production pack" stage. Production is supposed to start on 5/20 and I may get it in July.

Also considering the M440i Badge in Black High-Gloss but shopbmwusa.com says it's incompatible with the 2024 GC. Not sure how this would look with the default xDrive badge since I don't really want to pay $125 for a black one from IND. Thoughts on the black M440i badge with stock xDrive badge?

Aluminum Rhombicle Anthracite Trim is the standard trim, so it won't show as an option. It will show up if you select any other trim. One thing to consider is that they keep the original trim if you port install the M Performance trim.

If you get all season tires, you'll get the square setup vs staggered, and your top speed is limited to 130 vs 155 with summer performance tires.

Also, considered the Cooling and High Performance Tire Package at all? It includes the cost for the adaptive M suspension and wheels, and adds larger front brakes.

As for the badge, I personally like the Cerium Grey finish. If you do decide to go with the black M440i badge, I would black out the xDrive badge as well or just remove it.

I thought all M440i comes with stagger tires regardless of summer or all season. Correct me if I’m wrong.
