…and those perfect and basic round Speedo and tach. I still don’t understand why a digital version isn’t an available option

I was waiting for the LCI, to see if they would improve the front end of the G22.
If those really are the LCI headlights, then they managed to ruin the only good looking part of the front end of the pre-LCI G22.

This is a BMW forum. I’ve been driving BMWs for 15 years. Is the purpose of this forum to hate on every single new thing, insult and attack everyone around them - like designers, engineers and buyers? Someone even wrote I can’t be “saved” because I went from M cars to ix. I'm sorry these people exist, let alone hang in forums. I have absolutely no problem with not liking something. But when you write as if your opinion or taste is the only one that matters, BMW design and cars went downhill AFTER whenever you bought yours, is toxic, egotistical, idiotic. Real measures like sales, surveys, reliability statistics suggest BMW is doing better than ever right now, relative to the competition. There’s never been a time when BMW was winning against competition in almost every category: looking at critical ‘consensus’ on 3,5,X3,X5,X7,i4,i5,iX,i7, they are all winning against all their competitors. Looking at sales, customer satisfaction and reliability surveys; BMW is ahead as well. This never happened before! Not in 80s, not in 90s, not in 2000s, not in 2010s. These are hard facts, but one can like analogue era, so for that particular person a classic like E36 M3 which didn’t even have stability control would be better. But that doesn’t mean everything after that model sucks, designers should be fired, BMW should be making 1994 M3s forever. That just means your taste doesn’t align with 2023. I think the front end of the current 4 is hideous and BMW didn't make a previous gen 6. I wish they did. I would own one right now. BUT, I don't buy 4 door cars. THAT is "why anyone could ever complain".

Driving dynamics, the most fundamental characteristic. As someone who actually owned an E36/E46 back in the E46Fanatics glory days. The F30 was what drove me away from BMW to the competition. As far as today's design, I do find some polarizing but there are still a few I like hence why I have had my G20 for more than 4 years now.

Driving dynamics, critical acclaim, sales.
That was the only time 3 series was losing to competitors in every single comparison test. G20 isn’t, E90 didn’t. E46 didn’t,E36 didn’t. F30 isn’t awful, it’s still a well engineered German sedan. It’s just the worst 3 series BMW made so far. |

Very true, but it is click bait that none of us seem to be able to avoid. Plus it brings in huge numbers of posts that turn into dollars for them. So...it will continue...

This stupid snake eyes needs to go! Too far of a departure from the sweet halo lights of the iconic BMWs!

Wait…….is there only one headlight beam per light? It appears so based on the angles of the pictures but can’t really tell? That would be a very big departure from the current model.
Also, the heat sink at the back kinda looks like it is only one? |

I think I just answered my own question ^ it’s only one main beam per headlight.

You’d have a valid argument then, the talked about issue on this platform seems the exact opposite. People can’t stomach the radical design changes mostly, each model has a standalone design. (Unlike the two above)

What each car means to each of us is a personal decision. But BMW did it for business reasons. Instead of upsetting half the owners, they appease them both with conservatism or aggression, pick the one you like best. Timeless can be extremely boring if one doesn't also have alternatives. After 12 years in F30's, F33's, and F36's, I needed a change. The G26 kept me in BMW's instead of straying to another brand out of boredom. |

Although the handling was vastly improved over the F30, everything else was numbed down... I lasted 6 months with it and thankfully unloaded THE LEASE when the shortages started... |

Not sure if you have the M-Sport or Shadowline or what paint color, but my G26 looks great to me. All the proper heritage of the F36 and enough new pizzaz to keep it interesting. I get more looks, thumbs-up, and compliments from random people on this car than any other BMW I have ever owned. I like that. |

BMW makes a 2 Series Coupe just for you. And its dimensions are pretty much 'classic' gen 3 Series too. Enjoy. |
