I ordered my M340i xdrive on April 7 and scheduled for production April 25. Genius told me week 20 for in production.

Owned a 325i, Laguna Green, in 1992 and it was always my favorite car. Did a lot of looking around and decided on the M340i. I don't really need a street legal race car (M series) and my bones are old so I think in the M340 is where I'll be driving with a smile.

Mineral Grey Metallic
Tacora Red Vernasca Leather
Red Calipers
Extended Shadowline
M Adaptive Suspension
SensaTec Dashboard
Premium Package
Driving Assistance Package (where I immediately turn off lane assist)
18" wheels non-run flats (my bones ARE old)

These threads are great...because no button exists to disable stop/start...I already found the work around to drive in Comfort mode with stop/start disabled...go to Sport Individual and set everything to Comfort...i.e., Comfort mode with no stop/start

New To The Forum/Community!

Ordered my first-ever NEW BMW & "M" car. Most of my past cars were loaners or on the ground. Super excited about it as my graduation is soon and bought it as a gift for myself. Have a '21 330i that's being traded in, drove the M340/440i on a track, and fell so much in love with this platform so much. Die-Hard M3 Fan and I just couldn't get over spending so much $ and hating the grill.

Order Received - 04/28/2022
Scheduled For Production - *BMW GENIUS SAYS WEEK 26*
Production Begins -
Exterior Body Assembly Begins -
In Paint Booth -
Entering Assembly Line -
Assembly In Progress -
Quality Check -
Final Assembly -
Ready For Transport -
Awaiting Carrier Assignment -
Dispatched From Factory -
In Transit -
At The Dealership -
Vehicle Delivered -

If my m340i is scheduled to be at Bayonne NJ/VDC tomorrow 4/29/22 does anyone know when I can expect it to be delivered to my dealership in Bay Shore, NY? Hoping to pick this thing up this week but the tracking/transit times are so vague and BMW Genius aren't such geniuses when it comes to giving accurate timeframes of when I can expect it to be delivered. I understand unforseen or extenuating circumstances but was wondering if anyone here has ordered an m340i this year and what their timeline looked like.

My car is officially on the RCC Africa and left Veracruz Port on 4/25. It is scheduled to arrive at the Baltimore Vehicle Processing Center on 5/13.

Yup, I had a feeling you were probably already on the boat.

Can't find much about it nor does the website give me much information.
Has anyone seen this code before?
It's the recall to activate the WiFi module. 2022 cars were delivered with Wifi installed, but not active. I got a long message explaining this a few days ago in MyBMW app and today in iDrive, hope the OTA software update will come soon.

I wouldn't hold your breath, my M340 (with no recalls) is coming up on three weeks sitting at the Baltimore VDC. Work order is open but nothing showing in the system on either the Genius side or my Dealership's side...

My M440 CV is at the Baltimore VDC too for about a week now. A work order was opened two days ago, but Genius had no details. I wonder what it could be?

Or is it standard to open a work order there just to account for the normal processing they always do?

Also interested in the timeline for a Mexico M340 vs M440 GC from Germany. This after getting an allocation. I messed up and placed an order in early March without understanding the allocation process (should have got a broker). Anyway I put a backup build for a M340, I am expecting a May allocation so I’m wondering if the Mexico build will be much faster (live in Tampa). Can live with either but i really like the big grill and the lift back on the 4series

M340i will be around 2 months from the allocation going active "scheduled for production" on the tracker to hitting the U.S port, if all goes well. 4 series from Germany definitely will be longer then that, some people sit in the Germany port waiting for a ship for a month+ and then the trip itself is a few weeks

My experience for a M440 CV build so far has exceeded expectations and gone smoothly.

It took 8 weeks from "production begins" to arrival at the port in Baltimore. This included a 2 week delay for the plant shutdown.

It's currently been in Baltimore for a week.

My 330i xDrive is expected to be at the Baltimore VDC mid-May. The dealership is estimated arrival end of May/early June.

Tracking the RCC Africa has been fun. I never thought I'd be tracking a car carrier haha

Ooh, I'm so happy to see your post because I think you're the first person I've seen with a build week similar to mine who has ordered these exact same car I have, a 330i xDrive!

When did you order your car, on what date, and where was it built? Hope you don't mind all the questions, but I'm, as you can imagine, very excited! Mine is a Mexico build being sent to a Philadelphia dealership, so I believe it will be arriving in the New Jersey port.

I'll share with my history thus far:

Well, finally received some news on my car. I went to the dealer yesterday and took a friend to look at a used M550, while I was there I hit up my SA and chatted about how it was possible that nobody knew why my car was stuck at the Baltimore VDC? We BSd for a bit while he was at the same time trying to sell my friend the M550, before I left he said he thought maybe his manager had a "contact" at the Baltimore VDC and he'd see if he could get some more info... So, today, I get a text from him that they got ahold of the VDC and my car is waiting on the M-Performance exhaust to come in (which is what I assumed) but, if I wanted the car and didn't want to wait for the MPE, I could send an e-mail asking for the MPE to be removed and they could release the car! I just looked in the tracker and the MPE has been removed from the added options list, so I may get my car in the next couple weeks!
