You're totally right. I looked at mine and it does not appear to be Dravit at all - even though it sort of blends in. Just never noticed it before.

It was grey on my 2021 M340i.

I switched it out for a gloss black trim/diffuser I found on ebay

Could you please share a photo? Curious to see how it contrasts at the rear.

Just don't wear unwashed dark jeans on your white seats....you'll be sorry.

Dravit Gray is the best metallic color that BMW offers right now, no regrets.

This best I have right now.

Definitely an improvement from the original grey one, but subtle.

That does look good. Nice contrast and matches the dark window tint. Thanks for posting.

If you look through the DRAVIT GREY pic thread you will see some better pics posted by other members.

That is where I got my inspiration.

Dravit grey is great color until you need to repaint and match a panel =S only my 2 cents from my last experience (on a bmw certified body shop) with my rear bumper repaint and my ocd noticing the slight color difference.

IMO. When you choose dark color for either the exterior or interior, you need a contrasting color. Dark brown never goes with black. Would you wear brown shoes with a tuxedo?

Correct 💯. Black and Grey go well together. Which is why I went with the ShadowLine package on the outside. For the interior, I went with the red leather

Nice. Glad you didn't put all black wheels on it.

honestly, kind of. though i haven't even seen mine yet (its currently sailing across the pond). i still like the dravit grey, but in photos something about the sheen seems weird. it's still obviously very nice, but if i could have a do-over i might get tanzanite or portimao. mostly its just the wait making me crazy, second guessing everything.

I assume you haven’t seen Dravit in person on any model?
If you like a grey car, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

It’s a dynamic color with multiple personalities.
Photos don’t do it justice. It’s the best of all worlds.
It’s Audi Nardo, BMW Brooklyn and Bernini rolled into one.
Plus the gold metallic flake is unique to Dravit.

Don’t expect Mineral Grey, which is very neutral.

It sure does with different lighting.
Something to get used to if haven’t had a
car in a color with multiple personalities.

Personally, I love the differences.
The photos above, and the ones I posted on 3/24
back in this thread, look the closest to real life IMO.

i ordered it without seeing it first, which took like 7 years off my life from how anxious it made me. in all seriousness though when i have seen them on the road (about 4 times now) it always looks awesome and re-affirms my choice.

i guess i need to stop looking at pictures obsessively and just chill until my car arrives.

edit: i'll say this, the visualizer on the website makes it look quite dark (which i like). some brands have a daytime/nighttime option to help overcome these dynamics. im sure alot of customers would be appreciative to have this same feature on the bmw website.

Yeah, stop looking. 😆
Takes guts to order a car in a color you’ve never seen before.
It was the only color I wanted but had to see it in person before ordering. Lucky I found an M8 GC at a dealership in my area. Sit tight.
