As the title suggests.......

Ive always purchased new and delivery mileage have always been under 10miles - mostly under 5m.

This is my first BMW - what has your experience been with new vehicle delivery mileage?

If it makes much difference, my cars journey.......

Built in Munich
Travel by train to Port of Cuxhaven
Arrival at Port of Immingham
Delivery to my home address (Liverpool) in covered trailer

you can go to Journey Data and it will show you how it's been driven

may or may not be useful. eg if you have 100 miles and it says sport plus and terrible MPG then you know something's amiss

Mine came from Germany and had 17km upon delivery.

My g30 back in 2017 had 4 miles on it when I picked it up

Expect similar when I pick up my new car next week

I had 16 miles back in November when I picked mine up. That surprised me a bit, as it was a special order, and I picked it up within a couple of days of its arrival at the dealership.

I would say that anything under 25 miles is probably within normal parameters. Obviously, longer if the car has been sitting on the lot for a while and subject to test drives.

Depending on cost cuttting, you may find they drive it to and from off-site pre-delivery centres (ie. to add tinting and other special order items), instead of transporting it by truck.

But I would question any kms on the car above 7-8 kms.

Mine had around 25, but the dealer I used has a central processing facility for all their dealerships, and then they drive them to each individual dealer. I waited so long for the car it would have had to be a lot for me to turn it down.

My last car (VW GTI) had around 250 miles, but it had been on the lot several weeks and had been test driven several times.

My LCI M340 came in from Germany and when I picked it up at the dealer it had 9 KM.

Our X5 had about the same when we bought it a few years back.

Personally as long as its under 15-20kms I wouldn’t think too much about it.
