I noticed that too. It seems to fly through 1, 2, and 3rd in Sport Mode/S, IF I am too aggressive with throttle (anything over 30% throttle). Otherwise, it's fine. Also, under moderate/hard acceleration, I am getting a stall between 4->5 and then when it gets to 5th, it immediately upshifts to 6th. Don't know exactly what's going on, but it doesn't happen in the other modes. I'm sure it just has to be configured properly.

UPDATE: reflashed and readapted with recommended 50 mile run-in procedure and issue went away. I didn't do adaption right first time; just drove aggressively and it didn't adapt smoothly.

P.S Stage 3 , Sport Mode/Sport-Shift is a blast to drive anything above 40 MPH. Reminds me of the Audi S4 - very powerful and smooth at high speed. It's great throttle response and the way it effortless glides on the highway. Feels like your going 30 MPH less than what you are actually going. Sport Mode is too rough at low speeds though . On the other hand, Comfort mode is very smooth, but seems to lack power, and especially at highway speeds. This is relative to Sport mode, of course, because Comfort mode is obviously still laying down more power than with stock TCU tune. There is still a lot of custom options I haven't explored to fine tune it.

First attempt, 0-60 MPH with Racebox Mini Sport+, Manual mode, mini-launch with brake boosting to 2300 RPM...............4.97s (slope corrected) , with wheel chirp. I was only shifting at around ~4500RPM. I'm thinking I can probably get like 4.7s with full, proper, launch. I'm RWD and I doubt the HR springs are helping either.

WITH xHP STAGE 3 , SPORT+, MANUAL MODE

WITHOUT xHP ...................................

Stock ECU tune? That's a pretty nice improvement. 0.5s off with just a TCU tune is very impressive.

That's with a custom tune. I'm sure 5.4s on custom tune (without xHP), is due to not being able to put down all the power off line. It's almost impossible not to get wheel chirp (i'm supposed to be around 350lbft). Its only a .3 s improvement from stock , though 60-100 time is quick: ~6.5s.

On the Custom tune, WITH xHP, I got ~5 seconds flat (4.97s) - that was with wheel chirp and a soft launch, and lazy shifting. I feel that if modulate the throttle just right, and experiment I'd be around 4.7-4.8 s. I'm also very suspect that my lowering springs are costing me a tenth or two tenths seconds. With custom tune + xHP 60-100 is ~6.2s

I don't honestly care about getting a perfect launch though. At a light, when I gradually tip into the throttle and avoid wheel spin, the car picks very smooth and powerfully - feels comparable to driving my Unitronic tuned Audi A4 Quattro (DCT tuned trans), with verified 4.6s 0-60.

I don't trust Racebox slope calculations. Did another run today 5.23s, this time with SPORT+ Mode, 74F deg , and light feathering into throttle - NO LAUNCH CONTROL. And I still got just a touch of late wheelspin. From what I'm gathering, LC will likely chop ~.5 seconds off that. I won't be able to get a proper launch with my HRs, though.

Mild-to-moderate, throttle application off the line, feels so much better - exactly what my 310whp/380 tq tuned car seemed to lack - the car feels like it's laying down like ~20-30 more whp, from what is especially apparent in low gears 1-3. Didn't rev it out at high speeds, but I tried a mini-launch, and noted shift-speeds are much improved - maybe half of stock. It's not just adding torque - but the car actually moves quicker - it feels like it matches better with the car's hp. What I really like is the particularly noticeable, surgeiness of power, as your accelerating and approaching gear shifts, that was missing with stock TCU tune, as if its setting you up for the next shift. Best way to summarize this tune -it feels like 1psi-2psi extra boost between 1k-3k rpm (haven't tested higher rpm yet). It's also not just quicker, but it feels smooth (and I'm on the most aggressive stage). And there is still room to soften up the gear shifts, and other options through custom settings, if you prefer something more docile.

I have a hunch that most ECU tuners don't like to bend engine torque calculations to override TCU limitations, as that would create too many liability issues, in the long run. Although the 8hp50 is 'limited' to 369lbft, from what I'm understanding, there are in gear limits, that can inhibit [...]
I am alsot navardi tuned on e-85 currently doing revisions. When trying to datalog third gear I get a couple shadow codes one being “10d000” “combustion engine torque limatiom active” and it pulls timing when WOT logging third gear. Do you know if XHP would fix this to stop it from pulling timing as it removes the torque limiter?

I see the 10d000 code too (under BootMod Diagnostics)but it highlights in red as "INACTIVE" suggesting that my tune is blocking the code. My first tuner, Jordan Tuning, told me I was hitting Torque limits, before I got xHP.

Yeah Im xhp stage 3 now and it looks better. No more torque flags

Does anyone know if the trans tune does anything towards the droning on B46’s?

It depends on what you mean by "droning". In "comfort" and "eco-pro" there was droning in some specific very low rpm, and after xHP tune it's gone because the shift points are adjusted.

But if you mean "droning" as vibrations under the load - you probably need to check and replace your engine mounts.
