So I went ahead and ordered a JB+ I will see how it goes and hopefully upgrade to JB4 in the future. I've been reading around and saw that some have ran anywhere between e20-e30 when using the JB+ at max setting. Anyone have any experience with using an ethanol mix on a piggyback tuner that isn't JB4?

What app is that? I'm assuming the TT app since it mentions delta and stuff? How does the app measure the time?

I coded launch control with Bimmercode expert mode by following instructions from the coding sub forum. World of difference compared to brake torquing the converter or flooring it off the line. The biggest difference is the elimination of wheel hop. |

Ah gotcha. Hopefully you can find someone with a dragy to verify your car's times. My phone says my car takes anywhere between 4.1s to 7.9s for 0-60. Dragy gives an excellent estimation.

It's making 70ftlbs more. Dyno proven - check out their site. They have graphs and some videos. The best part of the power is it's made in the mid-range where most of us drive. Delivery is better as well as you feel solid power at 1/4 throttle. |

Do piggyback tunes like the TT mess with your warranty? I thought it was only flash tunes, but have been reading the cars can now throw flags for things like over boost etc. and void the warranty when you visit the dealer.

I've had the TT for a while and played with the settings. I am running base 3.6, slope 0.2, delta 3.0 on 93 pump gas. I find that any base higher than 3.6 results in a noticeable power surge, like old school turbo lag. 3.6 is as low as TT allows you to go. I am trying to emulate the BM3 tune I had, which also had no surge, just a swell of torque right off the bottom.
I don't understand why lower base numbers are considered more aggressive by TT, since the smoothest power delivery is achieved on the most aggressive setting. I find any higher base setting to be unacceptable. I could not get a good answer from TT on why the lower base is considered more aggressive, nor if that meant the tune was approaching any safety margin. Honestly, I would run even lower base if I could. |

Yes. Anything you do outside of OEM accessories voids your warranty. The thing is, if the modification is not the root cause of the concern, the warranty stays intact. i.e. Check engine light goes on, but the only mod you have installed is coilovers.

I've just got a JB4 and I'm absolutely loving it. Great amount of power added compared to stock. I haven't had a JB+ to compare it to, but I was in the same boat stuck between the two. I would definitely recommend getting the JB4 simply because of how easy it is to use and how many other benefits it comes with like the bluetooth connectivity which enables on the fly map change.
If you are worried about service, I have gone in twice now and the JB4 is super easy to remove. I've timed it down to 4 minutes flat to install and uninstall, being that you can wrap your head around those damn connectors for the sensors. You won't be disappointed! |

And uninstalling/reinstalling it is a breeze once you figure out how to remove the OEM connectors. I recommend it too. Only downside is that is can be expensive if you're buying it new.
