Configurator is pretty crapped up ATM

Hmmm... I have read here several times that the online configurator is messed up, but I hadn't seen it until now:

For a 430iX GC anyway, the only way to get the Dynamic Handling is to add the correct wheel / tire - described here as 19" with "high performance non run flat" (= Michelin Pilot 4S). As far as I can tell you can't remove it - the wheels, sure, Dynamic Handling? Nope. The only way I can figure is starting over fresh.

You can add DAPP and HK stereo to any 4 series vehicle - except for the 430iX GC. Strange!

If you spec a 430iX coupe (not 4 door GC, model code 234D instead of 234T), you can add both. 430iC (ragtop), sure and _any_ M440i model - yep.

Another observation - since yesterday the Drive Recorder option disappeared from my build. I added it back, but it went away again?

Curoous. It can be added later, as long as they don't remove my PAP.

Is this new news or just based on the website builder? I still see the adaptive m suspension on the 430i gran coupe but no more dynamic handling package…. Strange. Wonder why they took those off ..

This is from BMW. Due to capacity restrictions, dynamic handling and adaptive M suspension are no longer available for the X3/X4 30i, i4 e35, 430i CV/Conv/Coupe, 330i/e

Interesting o.o hopefully orders that were already placed and in progress of being built that have those options are safe 🤞

I just placed an order today and it would not let me select the adaptive m suspension for the 2023 330i. Kinda annoying. On Saturday it was letting me and I could have placed an order then but was shopping around with different dealers.

Wish I knew it was going away, oh well.

Thanks for the info, do you know if those packages will be brought back before production start of 2024 models in July?

Mine has adaptive suspension with or without DH, which I am told is not available to order. It's configurable by selecting the proper wheel & tire.

Adaptive M Suspension is not available for the 430i in all variants. The build your own doesn't matter as it is often wrong.

I have ordered a 440i since September, expected delivery in March (Spain) last week they called me to tell me that the recording camera was removed from the order due to a problem with the supplies.

Seems like Adaptive M Suspension is able to be selected again for the 3 series in the online configurator. Going to ask my dealer to confirm I can add it to my order since it is not in production yet but scheduled.

I wouldn't worry about the missing Drive Recorder as you can add it as a lifetime subscription after you build the car for the same $300 as long as you have all the hardware required (the "ZPK Parking Assistance Package" I believe).

Ask your dealer what is required to add it later.
