Upgraded to 330d from a 320d - what an engine
Wow . I had a 69 plate 320d xdrive touring and just upgraded it to a 21 plate 330d touring.. what an amazing engine (I couldn't afford a 340)
Lost my lovely Portimao Blue colour for Mineral Grey and my 360 Camera's weren't on the new spec but gained M Sport Pro pack and red callipers (which must make it go faster ) as well as still having the full tech and comfort packs (pre-chip shortage) and the laser lights which look great but I haven't taken it our in the dark yet to comment on the 'brightness' Not sure what the adaptive button does yet ? I haven't really noticed any difference, is there any ? Am totally blown away by the 6cyl diesel so smooth |

Search for the threads on here for Adaptive headlights and plenty explanation on how they work. They're so clever at being able to maintain main beam in varying areas of illumination depending on no oncoming traffic, some oncoming traffic and when following traffic, they basically stay lit in a way that doesn't dazzle or distract other drivers, 'tis witchcraft I believe! Then when they are 'fully' up the laser lights have superb forward 'throw'. |

Brilliant! Glad you are loving the engine. I have had lots of great engine cars over the years, from V10 M5, M3, Integra Type R, 335i (tuned) and I view the new 6 pot diesel MHT right up there. It just has the right type of performance that can be be utilised in a world of crazy traffic and speed restrictions. So quiet and economical when you want it to, and crazy fast with a decent sound when you are on it. Sounds better than many petrol engines too. Enjoy!!!

All the 6 pot diesel engines in their day were absolute beauts. I had the e36, e39 - 6 pots, and the twin tubo e61. Loved them all. Suspect though, if you went in a 325tds today, it would be pretty average, but back in the mid 90s it was great.
