That's what I was thinking too, he might as well purchase his lease outright… this deal makes absolutely no sense to me… also only 7,500miles/yr.

Anyone know what the finance rate for BMW financial is currently with excellent credit (800+). I am working to buy out my 2019 lease and dealership is telling me 5.59% which sounds quite excessive… best to finance through outside I assume but curious on numbers.

When will new incentives get rolled out, now that the Summer On Sales event has expired?

I think the next one is the Fall event.

This is what I am in the process of doing, my 2020 M340i still puts a smile on my face. Will buy out and wait for things to return to normal before I get another new car.

This is a terrible deal… why not just finance through a credit union at this point? If you finance 60k at 17 dollars per 1k borrowed, your payment would be 1,020 and you will probably be ahead if you trade-in in 3 years.

My brother has M440 he leased at 660 per month and his MSRP was 66k.
Agree 1000%. And this kind of thirsty customer is what's fu@#kin up the market and has these greedy dealers doing what they're doing. My $78k X5 lease payment is 830. My wife was looking at an almost base 23 3series and the cheapest quote we got was $730 a month for 36 month/7500 miles with Tier1 credit. People are morons for paying these prices for sub 50k cars. I'm sooooo pissed about this market and people's willingness to pay silly prices for these cars. ……Rant over 😂😂😂😂

I had an offer for 5.29% for a new purchase at the beginning of Sept. I anticipate using credit union financing instead.

That is what I ended up doing, ended up getting almost 2% less than BMWs finance rate.

My thinking is that my $4,000 in lease equity is "phantom", i.e. it's a product of a crazy rate environment rather than truly being there, so to me it's free money. I live in LA and need a car, so even if I cashed out that equity I'd still need to put it towards another car anyways... They also took over the last two months of my lease which is another $1,000 right there.

When I initially spoke to dealers they asked for $20K down on an M340i and $10K down on a 330i, so I ran with this deal when I only needed to put $3K down. It also lowered my insurance by $70/mo which is nice.

ALL of that being said, this isn't a deal I'd normally do. My last car was a $60K MSRP M340i for $500/mo. including tax and $1,500 drive off. But these are crazy times and I don't think things will get better over the next few years. I figured I'd use my "phantom" equity and get a car I like for a decent out of pocket price.
If you're going from living with an M340i to a 330, you will regret that decision not to mention what others said about the price. Not good

What did you expect when there is no lease support from the manufacturer or decent programs? Throw in marked up money factors and no discounts in the mix and this is what the truth looks like.

I got my eye on a new 23 M340i. It's been 7 years since I bought my last vehicle. At the time I was able to negotiate. I'm assuming dealerships are not negotiating at this time. I'm either going with the BMW of South Austin or San Antonio.

No go for BMW of San Antonio.
Fees:
Government: 211.00
Dealer Prep (joke): 799.00
VIT: 140.00
1% Sales Service Fee: 673.52
Tint: 699.00
Proc/Doc Fee: 150.00

My only question was " Does this come with KY"? lol

I'm looking to purchase a 2023 M340i xdrive, any dealerships in the SF/Bay Area negotiating off MSRP? seems like inventory/allocation is still low

Indeed.. I was able to get my exact build from BMW of Austin. MSRP plus the doc fee of 150 and of course sales tax. Not to be confused with BMW of South Austin. South Austin was determined to upsell the following:
Tint: 699
Nitrogen: 199
Door Protectors: 299.

Freaking ridiculous:

I was quoted 5.59% to lock-in for excellent credit on an order sitting at port in Germany with $750 loyalty. Almost questioning if I even want to finance for the $750 only to refi after three months with a credit union for 3.5%. Is anyone getting better rates from their dealership right now?

You can refinance at any time without penalty but the dealer is charged back for the incentive if you don't make at least three payments.

I ordered from BMW of San Antonio. You don't have to get the tint. That can be taken off. My quote didn't have a dealer prep fee cause if I saw that I wouldn't have ordered from them. That's ridiculous. Only thing I was pissed about was the 1% sales fee. Like why TF am I paying for your commission. I was gonna see what I can do with that when I receive the car. Doc fee can also be negotiated out.
