I took my untuned car into the dealership on Friday just for an oil change and since then when I cold start the car it sounds like GTS Startup Roar or a similar setting is on. Is it possible to turn off without BM3, etc?

I have an AA catted DP and MAD exhaust and wondering if the dealership either turned this setting on or messed with the exhaust valves adjustment somehow?

This has been mentioned on the forums in other threads. I don’t think anyone has quite figured out the exact circumstances in which the loud startup occurs. For me, it’s random, after car is warmed up and at operating temperature. I couldn’t tell you how often it happens as imo, it is completely random.

You’re spot on as for the first time since Friday it didn’t rev to 2k rpm with the valves wide open this afternoon.

Some have said that this “loud start” only occurs when starting the car in sport plus, however this is inaccurate as I usually only start my car in sport or comfort and have experienced the loud start.
I’ve gone on 500 mile road trips repeatedly and have not experienced loud start. Yet sometimes on the drive home from the gym (2 miles) and making a pit stop at the gas station, after fill up, loud start. Random.
