14% tax on 330e for 20/21
I have just received my tax code notice for 2020/2021 and my 330e M Sport is taxed at 14% not the 12% I was expecting.
Has anyone else experienced this? |

edit got the figures wrong. both should be 14% but the F30 has been calculated at 16% which I think is a mistake. I am hoping the G20 as mine will be after 6th April will be 10% rising to 12% in the 3rd year. |

I've got a G20 330e M sport, registered December 2019. The WLT and C02 figures place it in the 12% bracket for 20/21. Checked the HMRC site and they have my BIK as the same about for this year and next, so hoping like yours it's something they will update in the new tax year, my tax code for this tax year and next is also the same, might be worth a call to chase up.

Noticed on another forum an i3 owner also being put on 14% instead of 2% , he ended up calling HMRC who then corrected it. https://www.speakev.com/threads/hmrc...020-21.147336/ |

The 12 to 30% that we pay in the UK is based on the list price but then we pay a percentage of that based on our rate of income tax so works out pretty much the same. The % we pay is only for company cars and is paid all the time we have the car. |

HMRC said they don't have the tax tables for 20/21 in the system yet, the 330e is still showing as 16% and to call back after the 6th April and query it.
Interesting when your own tax department doesn't have tax tables. Either that or she couldn't be arsed to look for it but she was telling me my calculations were wrong.? |

Tables were published in July last year, but becuase of Brexit and the election, we had to wait till today to get them confirmed by the govt, they should have been confirmed in the Nov budget. The finance bill will put these figs into Law.

Indeed. I meant to say that HMRC won’t use tables until they are confirmed. As you say they did not have confirmed tables.
