Preserving Front Axle Support recall
Took my 320i M Sport in to the dealer yesterday after BMW connected told me there was a software update and it may solve some of the connectivity issues.
On arrival the dealer said that there was also a recall, which on the invoice is listed as "preserving the front axle support". They didn't seem to know what it meant and it was the first I'd heard about it. So just as a heads up if you haven't had it done and secondly, anyone any idea what the issue is? |

It was the first I'd heard about it when I was handing my keys over, yet it was the first thing he mentioned, before my connectivity issues.

Guess this is probably the same recall as seen in the US. The axle support wasn't properly coated for rust protection I believe: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...4&postcount=21

Just checked the Government website and it has this for my car
Outstanding recall found This vehicle has been recalled since at least 22 May 2020. Contact a BMW dealership to arrange for repairs. Not for this but rear centre headrest! Last edited by Sussex_G20; 05-22-2020 at 06:55 AM.. |
