I will try to be positive. Love the scenic roads and happy that it has a soft top instead of a hard top.

The new rag top looks so much better than the folding hard top. Better lines for a sports oriented car. Both top up and down, the lines look good.

New soft top aligns up to the photos I took in Arjeplog back in 2019. Looks much better than my e46 convertible. Going to miss 4 hardtops in the intern (E93 x 2; F33 and F83). Bring on the all new G83 for 7/21 SOP

Boy, that -almost- straight line above the rear fenders destroys the car...
No muscular hips... two lines with no flow... The door handle is weird and out place.. The trunk cover looks like shit with that line in the middle (probably to match the scar on the hood), the connection with the tail light and rear fender is weird too. Forget about the grille... Nothing flows anyway... An these black plastics behind the front seats are just horrid... smh |

Finally the interiors of the 3-series feel like a BMW. What a great job BMW has done.
The exterior will have to just grow on us. I'm upset at myself that right now it's tolerable. Last week was an abomination.

Also surprised they still haven't done a power operated wind deflector. The C-Class cab has had one for years, even has an "air-cap" at the top of the windshield to push air out of the cabin.

It's very very very very very very expensive. Soft tops are less to maintain and cheaper to fix. Why do people even like hard top cabs?

There are examples of vehicles with straight well defined lines and cars with more subtle lines. But in both cases, as general rule, they flow, connect and contribute to the overall design of the car by defining it as a whole. This one has two independent lines, that do not connect, the rear one does not put more emphasis on the "hips " to make it more muscular, and that handle belongs to none. |

Because they are nicer, quieter, do not grow mold, easier to maintain without special care, hard to break in, they can not be cut with a knife, they do not "cook" in the sun so the material gest old and brittle, preserve the interior temperature so it is good in the winter too, and contribute greatly to the stiffness of the chassis, hence a better behavior for the car.

Outrageous grill so distracting you can't even admire the convertible. So inconsistent. Almost like the designer had multiple personality disorder with various personalities emerging during design of various parts of the car. Grill looks better on the M versions. The non-M versions: A disaster!

Sweet looking Audi. The roof line looks to me just like an Audi vert. The hard top verts did a great job of keeping the kink, higher greenhouse and provided great visibility.
