Thanks, I did get the cognac interior with pretty much everything except for MPE.

Are you doing Performance Center Deliver too?
I'm wondering when will they contact us to arrange delivery dates and hotels.
Or this should be done by the dealer?

Yes I will be doing the Performance Center Delivery too! I was told yesterday from the BMW Genius that once the car arrives at the Performance Center they will notify me (or the dealer will notify me, I'm not 100% sure) whether my requested date of 3/19 for delivery will work.

I haven't heard anything from my dealer yet. I'm sure when it's hit the PDC, they will notify me.
I'm also thinking about taking the delivery around that time frame. 3/19 falls under a Friday, so it's pretty ideal of driving back to Texas over the weekend.
Let me know if you heard anything from PDC or the dealer!

Glovis Superior also docked at Port Everglades last night 8pm EST.
Anybody knows what's the next step?

Guessing a stop on the Carolinas and then off to Newark? Can't find the actual schedule for the vessel. Looks like it got to Port Everglades a little early so maybe it'll get to Newark a little earlier too?

Was wondering the same. All of the tracking sites have just that one port of destination (port everglades).

Edit: Its off to Port of Brunswick (in Georgia). eta 3/2 19:00 - according to vesselfinder.com

Looks like the same route my ship took - Brunswick, then Jacksonville, then to Baltimore and Newark. This schedule is more of a guide, but guessing Newark between 3/8 and 3/12.

I hope that’s not the case. Last week when I spoke with the rep, she gave me an eta of 3/5 for NJ port arrival.

Also told me 3/5. Seems kind of crazy if the timeline on that site is right? Not sure why it would take that long to come up the coast. If it left Port of Everglades already it seems like they unload pretty quickly.

Yea I also got the 5th. It also looks like the delivery to Brunswick was updated to arrive on 02/28 and not 03/02. So that seems like a good sign that we’ll get an on time delivery.

Hi Guys figured I would chime in here. For the PCD deliver, PCD will contact your dealer and give them 3 dates and for you to choose one. I did PCD 3 times.
The longest i waited for a car was 5 months. It was a 2011 335xi Sedan (Blue water metallic with Light grey leather). BMW had shifted the production in the final year from Germany to South Africa. Car was ordered in October 2011 and arrived at the dealer in March 2012. The quickest was the X6. That took 4 weeks. Yes I was surprised too. lol
Currently have on order M340i xdrive. Order was accepted January 11, 2021. Sat at the Port in Germany for 2 1/2 weeks after being built and transported to the port. Was update on Tuesday, finally on it's way. Used to waiting for my cars as I always build them the way I want.

Thanks for sharing. I thought the PCD would reach out to us directly but seems like it's going to be the dealer.

All the times I did it, PCD contacted the dealer with the dates. When I picked the delivery date with the dealer, then PCD reached out to me to finalize the hotel arrangement for arrival. I recommend staying the extra night after you pick up the car to rest up. You head out around 8am to the Perf Center and get back to the hotel around 4 (if you do the factory tour). Each time I stayed the extra night it cost around $120.00 which is very inexpensive. It is a great way to break in the car and get to know some of the new features. My last PCD I took my dad. We stopped in DC for 3 days to sight see before coming back to NYC. Not doing PCD for the new car unfortunately. Kinda bummed but not ready to get on a plane yet due to COVID among other things

Glovis Superior ship is dropping my car off at the Charleston, SC port, I’m thinking right after the Brunswick port. When I talked to the BMW Genius line earlier this past week they estimated a 2/28 delivery at Charleston but obviously with the next stop being Brunswick it seems to be a little delayed.

Yeah, looks like it's moving super slow and is delayed. Sucks but at least we're in the home stretch.

Really appreciate this! I heard the factory tour is closed due to COVID, don't know if that's still the case.
It's a 14-hour drive back to Dallas. I was planning on leaving right away, and find a hotel along the way back maybe around 10 pm. And drive a full day the next day and get to Dallas in the evening. A friend of mine is coming to PCD with me so we'll take turns driving.
Do you think staying an extra night at the PCD hotel is necessary?
Not sure what's it gonna be like driving a brand new car for 14 hours cross half of the country is gonna be like, but really excited about this car.

Hey Bud, I wouldnt say it is necessary. But it is good to rest up after a whole day of BMW infused adrenaline. Lol. It is just a recommendation. Call the performance Center to see if the factory tour is still on. They will tell you. BTW driving a brand new BMW for 14 hrs is no issues. You have a friend to share the drive (which is good), the seats are among the best and most of all. You're driving A BRAND NEW FREAKIN BMW. Lol. Just be careful. This is a good thing Bud

Resting for a night definitely makes sense after a day of rushed adrenaline at the track. When i read the PCD instructions, it said the event will end by 3 pm, that's why i was thinking about leaving asap since there are still a few hours of day light. Gonna give them a call tomorrow to find out about the factory tour.
Thanks again! Really appreciate your input.
