330E Touring Delivery

Hi All,

Long time lurker as I’ve been waiting to order a 330E Touring through my work. I ordered one today, but I didn’t get an estimated delivery date, was just wondering if anyone else has ordered one and what dates they are getting for delivery.

I’ve gone for M Sport - Portimao Blue, Oyster Interior, Tech + Comfort Pack.

TIA

Ordered mine at the end of June. Initially said that delivery would be December but I’ve since been advised that it’s likely to be October.

I ordered a saloon 330e, and im still waiting for a order confirmation and del date, we use Lex autolease, and with Covid, things havent been so smooth. On the plus side, my personal contribution has gone down, so its costing me £30 less a month, so clouds and silver linings etc.

Problem is that my current car was due to go back in September, so i will end up keeping it for longer than the 4 years, its will be the longest i'll have had a company car for!

Hope not to depress you too much. My 330e was ordered through Lex on 26th November and was delivered this morning.

I guess the Covid factory closures would have added a good 2 months onto your delivery dates. I placed my order back in Feb with the expectation of a 6 month leadtime worst case, but thats when the proverbial started hitting the fan, so lex didnt actually touch my order till middle of June.

Im not expecting anything till Jan at the earliest if im honest, it just means i'll be paying more tax than i have to, for an extra 6 months or so.

A sensible person would cancel the order and get a Passat or a 508 hybrid, but ive got my heart set on the 3 series now. I even tried a A6 PHEV a few weeks ago and it did nothing for me

Edit, just had notification, del date is December

My 330e was ordered on the 29th Jan and is due to be delivered to the dealer during the first week of August. LeasePlan have instructed the dealer to not deliver the car until September I assume to get the new plate and hence increase residuals. Ironically I will now be working from home almost full time and only doing my 122 mile commute once a fortnight! Still it’s way cheaper than buying a 330e personally.

It will be worth the wait, loving my 330e! Thought I was going to miss my Golf GTI but really like the electric side of things round time.

I think I fell very lucky as ordered early March and arrived 11th June.

Very lucky as I ordered mine end of February and won't be delivered to October if all goes well.

Good choice I am getting an M Sport - Portimao Blue, Oyster Interior, Tech + extended storage. As it’s a company car I had to keep the options to a sensible level. Even though it’s not technically my car I’m looking forward to getting it hopefully on 6 weeks time.

I think OP was especially interested in G21 (touring) 330e delivery dates as I presume they aren't in production yet (in contract to G20 330e).

I ordered my G21 330e right after covid restrictions for bmw dealerships were lifted on 16th of may. Sales then said they had delivery of that model planned for end of november 2020. He confirmed this daterange again a few weeks later.

Anyone else getting a G21 330e delivered sooner? I really hope mine gets delivered sooner as my current F21 lease ends mid october.

I think the reason any 330e is a longer lead time, other than COVID-19, is the limits around the batteries. I asked about the Touring version back in January and was told it would be late August so given COVID-19 November seems likely. HTH

I amended my order from a saloon to a touring back in Feb. Found out a couple of weeks ago that the touring wasn't ordered pre lockdown because the dealer wasn't able to order it on BMWs system. My salesman was furloughed and hasn't returned unfortunately so I had to get the touring re-ordered.

The good news is that delivery times weren't too bad - quoting late October. The bad news is that the pricing was ridiculously more than the saloon. £100 a month over 4 years despite identical specification all due to lack of support from BMW.

Regrettably I cancelled the order as couldn't justify the increase.

I was told by my dealer that ordering saloons now will arrive in January but manufacturing slots have already been allocated to dealers. Ordering in September or after will arrive in April most likely. He said Tourings are better and ordering now will get you one in October or November. This is mostly down to demand, he said. The demand for saloons is off the charts.

I find it very surprising that 330e Saloons are in much higher demand than the Touring when you consider the compromised boot space in the Saloon. As far as I could tell, lots of people were waiting for the Touring to be released (including myself).

I wanted the touring but It was released too late, i suspect much of the demand for the saloon will be coming from company car drivers who wanted to order around March to June. Mine was ordered at the end of June and deliver to dealer is the middle of December. Hope theres no delays, I wanted to order it in March for Sept delivery, my XC60 has been a fantastic car in so many ways, but i just want a new toy now.

The official battery range is higher on the saloon so there maybe a BIK benfit gain.
