Front PDC not working

On my 2019 330i the front PDC intermittently doesn't work and displays an error message. Upon closer inspection one of the sensors has a stone chip in it.

Can I just code out the front PDC and have rear sensors only, or code out PDC entirely? (I don't need it anyways).

Or do I need to just pay the dealer to replace the sensor?

So I won't be able to do it with simpler tools like Bimmercode? In that case I may just replace the sensor.

Sensors are cheap enough now so I'd always fix it. Much cheaper than fixing paintwork.

Just booked an appointment at the dealer for next week. From what I have read it costs around $1000 to replace the sensor.

One scrape against a concrete wall would cause a few hundred in damage (or a $500 deductible and increased rates), and an impact with another vehicle will cause increased rates for years as it is an at-fault collision. You're right, I'll just replace the sensor.
