Angry How to get log/history of warnings for the TPM system?

I was wondering if there is a way to find a history of warnings the system has put out, specifically for the tire pressure system.

So recently we just bought a used 2017 BMW X5 xDrive40e through a 3rd party dealer (big mistake...)

While test driving the car, a warning showed up saying to drive under 80mph and fill up the right rear tire soon.

We think nothing of it and let the sales rep know to fix it up. About a week after the purchase the system showed the message again, saying the pressure is too low.

I did not want the message to go away again so while driving it back down the freeway (they are run-flats and it was not even fully flat) to the dealership, the tire starts smoking, so I quickly pull off to the nearest auto store. I ask them if they can quickly fill it, but failed using a large compressor.

So the only choice I had was to tow the car.

Now the dealership is claiming that there was no warning when the car left the lot and that the tires were in perfect condition.

I was just wondering if there is a way to find a history of warnings because I need a way to prove them wrong.

Let this be a warning to yall, don't trust 3rd party dealerships. We bought a 535i from an official dealer, and they were a much better experience.

I don’t think that there is a log of TPMS messages. Sorry.

sorry this happened to you. looks like just a tire replacement is all your due for.

but moreover this could be any BMW dealership and they will screw you just the same.

if they are totally stuck, try to get them to cover half the tire + install. if not try to get them to cover the install. if they dont do shit scathe them with a completely nasty review with their refusals to to the above.

but its always caveat emptor in the used car game.

When I went to see my i3 at a non-BMW dealer, they had to put air into one of the rear tires before taking it off of the showroom floor so that I could test drive it. A few days after bringing it home, I was leaving home one morning heading to work and the TPMS alarm went off for that same tire. Sure enough, there was a screw in the tread that was probably there for months. The dealership has a state-required 30 day warranty on all used cars sold, but I just ate the cost rather than wind up in a road hazard argument over a $150 tire when they legitimately lost $3,000+ on the sale.....

Gonna be hard to prove you didn't get a nail on the way home. Suck it up and replace the tire.

Might be your best option. The saying, “picture or it didn’t happen” also holds true at the dealer....

Any chance you documented your concern at the time of purchase or shortly thereafter? An email? A text? Etc.

I've bolded the issues/misconceptions.
