Clicking while in drive

So today I started hearing an odd noise and got the car back to the house so I could hear it better. In neutral, engine sounds perfectly fine so it isn’t there. But, in drive or reverse, with foot firmly on the brakes, there is a clicking sound that speeds up with the rpm of the motor. Quick search on the inter webs suggests it could be a CV joint or something within the differential. Anyone else experience anything like that or have any knowledge they’d like to pass along? Literally sounds like an old ten speed bike when you pedal backwards.

Thanks!
