Connected Booster Package - warning
Just be aware if you get the email from BMW saying your connected drive is up for renewal, it doesn't append the renewal to when the agreement ends, it does it immediately! If you renew on the date you get the email, you lose 2 weeks!
As a matter of principle, I've requested a refund and will have to renew the day before. |

Strange. I renewed mine with Speed Cam Warnings two weeks ago and it added one year from the expiry date at end of May. All good until end of May 2024 renewed on 15th May.

I think the problem is, the expiring package is "Connected Package Professional" and is showing as not renewable and the annual extension is called "Your Connected Booster Package" (there's also a Concierge Services for £89 but never use it). Because it's a new package and not extending the existing one, they've not bothered to link the two together. |

Yep, happened to me too…. Already having lost nearly three months on the original connected drive subscription due to their ridiculous 90 day rule. Customer service has zero interest

Thanks for the top tip! Mine's due in a fortnight and I almost pressed the button today but got distracted by a phone call :-0
On a related note - received nothing about extended warranty... Should I have? I certainly did when my F31 reached 3 years... Thanks |

I hadn't received anything with a month to go so phoned them up. Not sure if I'd have left it any later they'd have contacted me. They were able to take the first monthly payment and then start the reoccurring ones a month after the expiry though

Just got an email to say mine have expired. Didn't get any email a few weeks ago to remind me. I was sure I had until late April before they actually ran out.
Am I right in thinking I need to buy the Booster Package (£89) and map updates (£79) separately? About the only two things I use are Spotify and the Sat Nav. I couldn't care less about Remote 3D view, connected parking, in-car experiences (whatever that is) or Alexa etc, so it's a bit annoying they are separate Toying with idea to skip a year for Map Updates and just get it next time around f I still have the car.

I didn't bother renewing - the only thing I kind of miss is RTTI but then Waze does all that for free.

I didn’t bother renewing this year either as I was using car play most of the time.
What I have found is now missing is the availability of electric chargers when you are in the sat nav view, and the parking app. Both I found useful. The electric charger availability is a bit daft if you’re in an electrified model, especially when that info is available in the app. The car parking app was quite good for when the mrs used the car. As we can’t seem to have the car registered on more than one device when it comes to the EasyPark app. Also found it funny that the caring car app has gone…like it doesn’t care about you if you don’t pay up. Sounds like my ex-wife 😅 |

I bought my car in mid may, but a couple of weeks ago, my connected drive expired.
Got in touch with bmw and they let me know it's three years of complimentary connected services from BUILD date, +30-90 days. My car was apparently built in Jan 2021. I thought this was disgusting and let the rep know as much. In any other walk of life, services begin from point of purchase from the supplier. I was so pissed off by this I've not renewed the £89 as a matter of principle, and switched over to carplay which has a better Spotify integration as I've found out but in my opinion worse interface for maps. Not being able to quickly zoom on the I drive wheel is very inferior and annoying. Voice commands are also Dummer I've noticed. This drip drip drip of subscription ownership with an already premium expensive motor leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

It is rediculous that the clock starts running from the build date though. |
