Very cool, wonder what it would take to get M1 and M2 working on a g20 M340I some day. I'm loving this new platform so far coming from f30.

I've seen one of the outfits offering those M modules now offers one to add functionality to those buttons, they demonstrated it set up to change driving mode. Pretty slick but I don't remember where I saw it, I think one of the G20 FB groups.

Then remote coding took them about 30min.
I love the new Instrument cluster options
in Sport Mode.
Cost $195 with FedEx shipping 3-5 days.
This is where I bought it from.
Their support is superb as well !!!!!!

I recently bought the module but I also have the Visconti flex fuel and was wondering if you or someone in here knows if for pin 36 both the flex fuel sensor and the m module cable should tap in on the same spot.

Just wished he was a bit more forthcoming in the YT comments about what the coding and hardware he'd purchased.

If anyone is interested in it here is the link below. I love it so far !!!!!

I'll post some pics of my G20 Instrument cluster as well. Looks awesome !!!!
Cluster changes to M Track display when car is put into Sport Mode. You can also turn it off if you want in settings.
When you installed, did you turn the car on before coding… and then get error messages about cruise control? Just installed mine and not done the coding yet and it's not happy.

Update: one of the wires had fallen out of the harness, so no errors. I did get an Amber CEL, but couldn't find the error in Bimmerlink and when cleared it hasn't come back.

I did notice that '39 Vertical dynamics management' wasn't responding. Anyone know if that's normal or to be expected? There is a '79 Vertical dynamics management' that IS responding without errors, and I can seemingly still change damping from Sport to Comfort and vice versa.

I finally got mine coded and there's a few things I hadn't expected, so thought I would share some unexpected pros/cons/nuances. Personally I like it, but there are some things I wish I'd known before hand.

Expected:
- You get the Sports view, with double RPG guages and two areas for driving information (like g-meter, tires etc)
- In Sports view you have a really clear Rev gauge in the HUD
- The person who does the flash for you really is very patient and responsive. I would highly recommend the seller from the OP.

Unexpected:
- The cable colours in the instructions aren't 100% the same as my car. I'm RHD, so the process is a little more complicated (you need to remove the bonnet release and then use a specialised screwdriver to get the trim off).
- The main display menu highlights colour changes from Orange to Red
- Some custom coding that I'd previously put in got removed, specifically menu options that weren't there by default. Any non-menu coding seemed to remain.
- When you put the car in Sport mode you HAVE to use the sports view (there is no option to use the standard road view)
- When you put the car in Comfort mode, you CANNOT use the sports view. The revs in the HUD are tied to sports view, so you cannot get these in Comfort mode
- The rev HUD is a LOT larger than I had expected. But there is a much more practical one if you put the HUD into reduced height.

The biggest disappointment for me is I wanted to have the normal road dials on the dash and a rev counter in the HUD. This isn't possible, but that's on me for not doing my research fully enough.

I believe most of the unexpected is how it functions on a true M car (orange to red in Sport & HUD tach). Did you install the M1 M2 button kit and module as well or controlling it from the center console?

I'm sure it is. Just a shame as I didn't realise that limitation. Looking at the G80 forum, seems some people are a little unhappy about the way it works too.

Just installed the m track module. Not installed the M1 or M2 kit. The ones I've seen don't quite do what I want, which is legit M1 and M2 modes, or even just links to specific drive modes, but it seems it's just almost a toggle up/down through the modes.

I have no idea how to do that. If someone can talk me through it I’m more than happy to.

For those who prefer a schematic I drew this up before installing mine in my previous G42 M240i. I can confirm the tach LEDs also work
Hope these are of some use, it's an awesome module just be aware if there's an OTA firmware update the unit will need recoding
