HOLY SHIT! I'm too lazy to look into this more, but here's what captainaudio had to say in 2007:

Quote:
BoltJames is the greatest philosophical mind of the 21st century. His social commentaries will be quoted for years to come and will undoubtably be the subject of countless books, magazine articles, etc.

In the future the "BJ Approved" seal will be the ultimate status symbol.

The Dupont Regstry will change its name to BJ Registry and the circulation will immediately double.

Major clothing designers will scramble to be the first to release a line of Designer Leatherette clothing.

What I see here is the foundation of what will surely be one of the worlds major religions, "Statusism". This will of course cause a group of fanatics hiding in a cave somewhere to start "Militant Statusism" and call for the destruction of all Toyotas.

Statusfest will become an annual event that will draw so many people that cites around the world will compete for it.

I think by posting here BJ is merely testing the waters for a presidential run as a "Statuscrat".

Major cities will be forced to enact strict anti-noise laws after the Statuscrats have distributed millions of "Honk If You Love BJ" bumber stickers.

1300+ Posts in a single thread is merely the tip of the iceberg.

We are truly witnessing the dawn of a new era.

You are a poser, straight up.

You are right, I did mis-spell the word I was attempting to spell. What I meant to say, was that you were a loser. Somehow I mistyped p instead of l.

Thanks for the correction. Posting tired.

Edit:
I'm sure if European models came without the badge and US did, Joe would immediately de-badge. Now, that's better.

One thing I dont get is why you guys are hating on his fender M-Sport badge... it comes standard. Look on the BMW.com configuration site.

Hey everyone. Joe would like you to know that he's been overseas. Just in case his subtlety was lost on you.

I said there as I will say here. It depends why you bought your car. Did you buy it to show off and make everyone thing 'wow he spend £$£$£$£$£ on that car he must be rich' or did you buy it for the car it actually is and you don't care what people think. If you bought it to show off then the M sport for BMW or R Sport for Jag destroys the image of the actual M BMWs or R / RS cars at Jag. If you bought it for the performance then it makes no difference what so ever to you.
That's what each person has to figure out, what is important to them. The badge or the performance.I think once you know your priorities, you select the car that fits them.I was at Mercedes service department a few years ago servicing my wife's car and an old man next to me said "what's the purpose of buying a Mercedes Benz if anyone can buy them now that they start at 30k.I realized then that there was the generation talking that felt that a Mercedes Benz meant you were successful .You don't want to live your life to impress others;only to find out at the end of your life that you never lived .
