I think this seems a bit high to replace two OEM 791m style wheels, considering that MSRP is $755 per wheel. This is just for the wheels as I already replaced the tires and did an alignment.

I replaced one of the same wheels due to Discount Tire dropping it and was out the door for $900 with tax, labor and shop parts included. Fortunately their insurance covered it.

The breakdown was:
Labor - $40
Parts - $780.31 (Wheel: $755, Rep. Kit, Screw Valve: $25.31)
Misc. - $10.85 (Env. / Shop Supply Charge: $7.20, Tire Tax: $2, Digital Service Fee: $1.65)
Tax - $67.87
Grand total: $899.03

$1500 in wheels, plus removing, mounting, and balancing tires, plus the work hours to do all of that (Dealership hours are like double non dealer rates [at least in my area])...sounds about right

You can have wheels repaired for about $100 each...

Work order says slight bends. Go get them fixed for $100-150 each at a specialty repair shop. If you are in the DFW area you should have no issue finding a good repair place.

It's $22 ea to mount & balance tires/wheels. OP, buy your 2 wheels and take them over to Discount Tire to have them mounted.

I contacted the parts dept at the dealer and they are asking $1041.81 per wheel. Dealer cost is about $575.

I’m going to see if they can be repaired, if not then I’ll buy the wheel online somewhere and have it installed it at an indie shop.

What dealership did you contact? So I can avoid them.

So I just spoke to the service advisor at the dealer and he said that they misquoted the price. They included powder coating as part of the quote. The correct price should be $1993.94.

When I picked up the car, the service advisor wasn’t there to review the quote with me.

So still about $300 & change too high for 2 new wheels & mounting/balancing. And a stupid price for powdercoating - that they would just farm out anyway.

I had my OEM 791s powdercoated $600 total. Why are you still communicating with this dealer who is intent on ripping you off?

I had to reach out to them regarding another question regarding another service they performed. I found a wheel repair shop near my house that could fix it for $120!each, so I’m just going to use them.
