Well there is going to be a pre-production prototype drive happening soon to set off official marketing for the new car.
Of course in a closed setting the car will also be revealed to the media.

I'm starting to get more turned off by the continuous push that I'll wind up buying this model.

No Scott, I won't. This isn't an M4 badge or a hood line, this is the entire front fascia of the vehicle.

The kool aid is strong in BMW management offices these days.

the pic looks photoshopped to me, there is a 2D-like effect on the bumper and grill. Maybe I'm in denial? but something about it looks off.

I think people might like M2 (or should I say the 2 as that comes first)
Maybe more than the 4. It has a more classical but completely modern appearance to it.
The kidney grille although large, is not huge as the 4. The same outline as the Gran Coupe but it's taller and shorter.

It’s not that an electric car beat the gas powered one in zero to 60 times. It’s that it beat it in every metric. Just kind of annoying when it’s supposed to be the ultimate driving machine.

BMW must have given out specific indoctrination tactics to people to make us drink the kool aid and accept this design. It’s honestly a bit much to have people tell me what I should and shouldn’t like on this forum.

Sometimes you have to call it like you see it no matter if you’re on a forum with die hard enthusiasts. And I’m calling this one horrendously ugly at the current moment. I won’t buy the car if it looks like the leak or the render no matter how many times someone says I will.

Deal! My biggest car regret is getting rid of my 16 F80 for the CS. I didn’t realize at 37 years old having never owned anything but a manual how much I would miss it.

Only did a 24 month lease and at the time every 6MT F80 was sold in the country (7 months post production). Couldn’t buy out my lease because I was 17k miles over.

I paid less for my CS than I did my base 16 though.

Yeah, I do love my 6MT. I was going to wait till the LCI version but BMW was stopping the stateside military program so I had to order before the deadline which equated to probably one of the last 2015 M3s to roll off the line.

I can't really argue with the deal I got on it though. And I don't care enough about the taillights to upgrade.

nobody should buy it.

This will be the quickest LCI turnaround ever. With a completely new front end

Lol good luck switching to [a new] Porsche where the base C2 now costs over 6 figures in the US (Hint: not direct competitors) and basic service is $400+. If you can afford to switch, awesome; it's a terrific brand but even the 992 has gotten bigger, heavier and (to some) uglier (I like the 992!).

Give me proper lease terms, a dark green and manual and I'm in on the G80. At least now when a 330i or m340i puts lame Ebay M stripes on their grills it won't be mistaken for my big ass coffin bois.

How? Their grill is much more obnoxious and overstyled, they're engines are still outdated and they all still weigh like pigs. They are worse than almost every single way.

Most of the non-believers got real quiet after the concept was unveiled. More recently members like antzcrashing still didn't believe. I'm sure this is the nail in the coffin for the holdouts.
I feel so important. Aside from that, I must say it looks good. Basically the execution on this design is on point. Its actually better than the concept. I still have no idea how bad its going to looks when a plain USA License plate is placed on front and center, but it looks good as is

I'm in

But my 440i is going to be a classic (flame suit on in double layers)

From the little that we can see of this engine bay- is this the M3/M4 or a 4 series?
Anybody?

It's definitely not just me. Showed the first posts to my wife and was met with the 'who the fuck farted in here' face immediately.

She knows I'm a checkbook voter, and on this one I'm probably going to abstain.

I'm fairly sure she was seeing the 'Euro Delivery Family Vacation #2' evaporate at light speed.

As always, I'll wait to see it in the metal and give it a drive, but just my family $0.02 for your time.

No can do. I bought the F82 because it was tastefully aggressive in style and performed well. Why buy this when you could save a bunch of $ and drive a Camaro.
