I haven't, but I bet for the price of my 340i in the U.S. I would be able to buy only a strippeddown 1series or something similar in Germany

Actually German prices are still rather OK compared to some places in europe. For example here in Finland the 340i costs whopping 85k USD. Most of the difference comes from taxation...
Still driving 340i and planning to get G20 M340i or used F90 M5 (new one is out of my paygrade as it costs with decent equipment ~250k USD).

125 lbs lighter on a car that's already pretty light for its class is excellent. Now let's hope BMW surprises us with the news that the M340i sDrive will get a manual transmission.
