vrsf or active autowerks catless dp?

I'm having a bit of a hard time choosing a dp, cant seem to pull up any decent sound clips. I know with a catless dp the exhaust sound will increase, but by how much? those that have either of them installed what are your thoughts on them? and perhaps there are some clips I cant pull up and someone can point me in the right direction. thanks

Following because I'm in the same dilemma. The shop I would use to install is a VRSF dealer. However, IMO AA downpipe looks like it's a little better design. I doubt it makes that much difference in real life though.

I reset the cel with the jb4. It's noticeable in sport but not much louder in comfort. You can hear the turbo spool and the throttle response is better.

We offer both brands. Fitment and quality is spot on with either one.

Since its catless, you are expected to get a CEL with either option

Looks great!
from what I understand and from previous experience (with APR for Audi) the cel should be hidden with a tune, but that still makes me wonder why non of the manufacturers or resellers are not putting out sound clips of their DP's

I have vrsf catless on my car. Here is my honest input.
Yes, there is a smell.
Itís loud. I would say double.
Way more pops and burbles. They sound like gunshots.
You can hear the turbos spool a lot louder.
You get a check engine light, but my car is tuned so it took care of the light.
All in all, I highly recommend it. As for the smell, you will not smell it as much but only if ur in sport plus and just idling you definitely will. Check out my Instagram for a sound clip. @ orange_m340i

I had it on my F30 340i and it fit perfect and for some reason sounded more throaty compared to the previous VRSF i was running.

excuse the noob question, but what happens to warranty with a DP install? Do they void it? Something like a jb4 can be removed before service or something like that, but the DP is clearly noticeable.

Yes unless you take it to a mod friendly dealer and your car isn't broken due to downpipe. Had Catless DP on my f30 and had my warranty for the last year of ownership even after taking it to service. Hope you have a mod friendly dealer

A warranty job can be denied if the dealership blames your aftermarket product for the damage. A catless downpipe does not create any additional stress on other components, in fact it reduces backpressure n your turbo.

It will not void your warranty
