For U.S. orders, can you add the M Performance carbon fiber trim as a port installed option for an M340? If yes, any idea if it would be the matte or gloss trim and how much it is?

I’m pretty sure you can. A dealer would be the best place to ask for the price , or someone on here who’s done it can probably tell you.

Just be aware that while you don’t get charged labor for the install, you also lose the original part they’re replacing.

May be better to order it and have a dealer install it for you so you can sell the part you’re replacing. Or order it and do it yourself, it does not seem very difficult to install.

I just noticed it is no longer an option on the build configurator on bmw website. I am confident you can contact dealer and have them install as mentioned above.

There are a few threads on this but as far as I can tell:

The US's version of the carbon trim is matte and missing in the configurator.
The European version of the carbon trim is gloss and can be seen on the config.

It's in the M-Performance section of the BMW parts store. If you grab a screenshot with the part number and give it to your SA they should be able to add it to your build. I added a ton of M-Performance parts that way. None of them were listed in the configurator. I believe the carbon fiber dash piece is about $1,200. Get it installed at the port so it's included in your original build trim and thus a warranteed part should it "fail" or be installed incorrectly.

I'm looking at a new 340i and they said the CF interior trim is $1550 + 500 for port installation btw

MPE is 2500 + 1000 for installation

CF rear spoiler is 765 + 500 for installation

As far as I understand port installed options shouldn't include installation costs. I was quoted at 2500 flat for adding on the MPE as a port option on my '23 m340 build
