Music Collection Playback
I’ve downloaded a number of albums onto my 2019 G21 and can select a particular album to play. So far so good.
On my previous 2015 X5 I could select tracks and shuffle to play random tracks across the whole collection of albums. Can’t find a way to do that on new car - can anyone help? |

I've asked my dealer and he's responded with an answer saying 'he'll find out'. Has yours got a storage hard drive?

Shuffle option for right click only appears when you have an album already selected. If you select track option it then defaults you to search for a particular track with no shuffle of all tracks option.
That’s how mine is working but if yours is different jabba1980 would be pleased to know |

Hi Phil - yeah I literally just choose music collection, then tracks, then just pick the first track in the list.
I then see "Shuffle" on the right. Apologies - I missed the step about actually picking a song in my prior post. That's when I see the shuffle option. Edit - just tried this again. No shuffle option this time. Then switched to connected music (I use Deezer). Immediately switched back to music collection. "Shuffle" now appears. Definitely some software gremlins there I think. |

My shuffle tick box has disappeared also.
Try voice control "Random Music Collection" She confirms that it is now turned on. |

I will check what I selected tomorrow.
Today I had Pink Floyd - Prince Buster - Melanie Martinez and more and they are definately not on one album |

Ok this is what I did.
Media - Music Collection scroll down to Tracks. A search box appears on the right of the screen and an alpha numeric list of your tracks appears on the left. Select nothing. Voice Command "Random Music Collection" She replies "Shuffle has been activated" |

That appears to have worked but I’m not sure of the “randomness” as it appears to be bunching tracks from individual albums! Time will tell. Thanks for the advice.
My next task is to get used to voice commands. It’s not something I use very much on my Samsung phone or iPad but do with Alexa which I find very user friendly and logical. On my lockdown things to do list |

Voice control worked for me too - thanks. Interestingly, I did a software update yesterday. First thing I did was check the shuffle checkbox when selecting "tracks"...and it was there. Will see how it goes.
