Throttle lag. Anyone else?
Noticed at a few roundabouts... pressing the pedal... nothing... nothing... GO!
It's less than a second and start stop is off. Reminds me of when I had my F30 320d. The remap cured it and I adapted my style so I was not always coming to a full stop at a roundabout by default. If it's clear I'd ease off to be safe and continue. For warranty reasons I don't intend on a throttle map or flash. Resetting the adaptations has not worked. I can live with it most the time but wonder how common it is. Ta |

Apologies.
Despite selecting 'Show Signatures' in settings, these don't appear anywhere in the app version I have.

My Golf R has a half inch of dead pedal (they all do it) in Comfort and Normal modes but the pedal box eliminates it. Brilliant bit of kit for what it does and I'd highly recommend it to improve your throttle response. Got mine from DTUK.

The UK BMW policy I was referring to. You remap the car they invalidate your entire power train and transmission warranty. You code the car. Say you code the sunroof to close when raining they invalidate your entire electric warranty. Any coding of any sorts using an aftermarket device automatically invalidates the warranty. It's become the BMW law. Before there was leeway and understanding and now there are blanket rules.

Mine is not a tuning box and does not alter the power output in any way. It plugs in between the throttle pedal and wiring loom. When you take it in for warranty/service work, just remove it. I too am against anything that'll screw up the warranty but I cant see how evidence of a pedal box being fitted would be shown up on diagnostic kit.

A pedal box won't invalidate your warranty. It just gives you some more sportier options to the throttle than you get from the factory.

I understand it to a degree, BMW shelling out recompense for someone's error. But surely changing start up to M, or changing dash display to M or Alpina. Surely that's just like changing your wallpaper on your PC Doesn't invalidate warranty when you play around with the display Of course I'm not doubting this, just miffed as i too was going to be tinkering with my company car to this end using BimmerCode Doubt work would be pleased if the garage wont cover warranty work because I've changed a few cosmetic things All seems harsh, they are obviously options within the coding, you are inventing new.

Perfect response though, sport mode does solve this. In all fairness I’ve had this in other cars where you need a more aggressive mode to basically drive around the issue (so to speak). |
