Winter wheels - colour choices

Just started looking at options for winter wheels for my M340i which is in sapphire black.

The only 18" wheels available from BMW seem to be 796M in "Jet Black matt".

I know it's very subjective, but I feel these might not look great on my black car. The only non-black wheels available are 17" - ditto.

I would welcome your opinions and even better photos.

Why not just go with an aftermarket wheel? WAY cheaper and you won't care as much if they get a tiny scratch or two from road debris, etc. in the winter. Also you will have plenty of other colours to choose from. I ended up with a black replica 792M wheels for winter, but I also have mineral white so understandably I don't have your same colour match/contrast issue.

Thanks for that and yes it makes a lot of sense but I'm always nervous about insurance validity with non OEM parts, especially fairly important ones like wheels !

If you're concerned with aftermarket vs. OEM, I'd just opt for swapping the tyres on your existing wheels. Probably the most cost effective way of doing it.
