Whistling noise coming from the front of the car when accelerating
Does anyone hear a whistling noise coming from the front of the car when you accelerate? You don't have to be going fast, just whenever you step on the gas.

I'm surprised a car with stock tuning would have an audible whistle. If you've had turbocharged BMWs before and it wasn't that loud, it might be worth having someone else listen to it. It could be normal, but it could indicate an issue if it's particularly loud.

Yep my f30 turbo was quite loud. Haven't noticed it as much in the m340 probably because exhaust is louder.

The turbo in the M340 is very prevalent... Definitely is more noticeable in the sport settings but still there in comfort. It's best listened to with windows down. Puts a smile on my face every time. Is definitely the loudest turbo I've noticed in all my BMW's behind my 535d. The others were all N/S63 motors and I'm sure the exhaust was drowning it out a bit more.
