Unless there has been a recent update from BMW, M Sport seats are only available in standard Vernasca leather with Merino leather only being avaiable on the standard seats. HTH

Get your point about front seats being odd but I don’t think they will look different to one another in an appreciable way. |

A few of us who had F series cars without lumbar used one of these... https://www.demon-tweeks.com/real-es...8;gclsrc=aw.ds
Just take the back off the seat and put in front of the wire, I also put a magazine in between the wire and pad. The pump can just sit to the right of the seat and did actually look OEM (well if bmw did a manual lumbar support!) |

To be clear, you're referring to the lumbar adjust in the front passenger with Merino? I think I have that in mine which is full merino - will check though, pic to follow... E: Last edited by Talisman77; 04-24-2021 at 09:42 AM.. |

Thank you for posting the pic. That has now been deleted from the build spec as of wk 12 production this year apparently. Think I’m going to be ditching the merino and going back to vernasca though now due to merino knocking the build status back to 0077 ‘No quota available’ and a further delay of an estimated 8 weeks at the most optimistic! These cars are like bloody hens’ teeth and trying to get one is an absolute nightmare. I sold my F32 440i privately ( to a very good home as it happens ) on the misguided belief from the dealer that they could get me a new car quite readily. That turned out to be a load of bollocks! So from selling my car in March abs expecting to have a replacement by end of May I’m now looking at god knows when! ☹️ |

Not sure on the G series, if it's anything like the F series then at the base of the plastic seat back there are 2 small pins to pull out, once those are out then its a simple matter of pulling down on the plastic back to remove it.

Ah gotcha I thought you were saying that that wasn't avail as an offering on Merino regardless of shortages but just wanted to check; this is a Sept 2019 build fwiw but I bought used so whatever turned up did I think Vernasca might be a decent shout as Merino seems to need a decent bit of TLC to keep nice! Definitely a shame about the delays though. I hope it comes through for you. |

I really thought I'd treat myself to merino for a change and was all set to go down that route until the delay became apparent. Possibly fate but it made me think of the potential problems I could encounter with merino in what is essentially a daily driver and the use to which the car is put. Then of course the fact I'm somewhat anal about keeping my car in as 'showroom condition' as possible, in the circumstances I think I would just end up paranoid looking after merino, the first burr on the leather from a stud on a pair if jeans or the wife's fingernail and I'd go mental! So from the point of view of maintaining my sanity (and quite possibly my marriage!) I decided the Vernasca would be the better option. I might be able to source a car quicker by sticking to Vernasca with one option I'm exploring at present so fingers crossed! |

I know! 😏
What was it my wife said....something about show pony or workhorse...guess I should know where that one’s going! Can’t afford a second divorce in one lifetime nor do I relish the prospect of living with a moaning wingeing bugger either!🤣 |
