OK so have the new BMW Latimer app showing after the iDrive update but it says "Please contact iPhone to the vehicle and start the M Laptimer app".

My iPhone connects to the car when I get in so can't understand what I'm doing wrong??

Any ideas anyone?

Have you downloaded the laptimer app onto your phone? Its on the app store if you're an iphone user.

You need to open the app on the phone and connect it to the car app at the same time.

I've had it working - pretty pointless app though to be honest : )

Oh thanks for the advice. No I didn't know you also had to download the app too!
