I will buy Bimmer Code right away if someone can confirm it can code:

-ROW tail lights (separate idiotic US brake lights from turn signals)
-Activate Rear Fog Lights

If not, I will just wait for Carly to get their act together.

As of now you can't code this using Bimmer code. Each week they keep adding new codes. Bimmer code is so intuitive.

Unfortunately, I know. G platform X3 and 5er have been out for a while and coding for what I listed above is still not available.

Not sure if they ever allowed F30 activate rear fog-lights as well.

Patiently standing by

Is there anything in the beta to enable the new active driving assistant view for pre-July 2019 cars?

Not sure about bimmercode but I have rear fogs on my F30. Coded it with E-SYS but I also had to pop out the button and shave down the tab preventing the button from being pressed.

Most pleased about removing ASD. Was really grating on my nerves in Sports mode.
How do I get the beta version, and what device did you use to connect to the car? Really want to turn ASD off!
Thanks.

You can add your account on play store to the beta tester.

Open play store, and search bimmercode app, than scroll down and search for beta.

Don't know if it's the same on Apple store.

Oh cool, I emailed them a few weeks ago and they said they didn't have any plans to offer an Android beta. Guess they changed their mind.

Alex.

Do you prefer the M cluster instead of alpina?

Are they the ones from M5?

I just downloaded the android beta, does the free version allow you to change all of these features you listed? Is there any reason to buy the full version for $38.99?

Used Bimmercode to:

Disable ASD
Enable Auto Start/Stop Memory
Turn off start up warning

A couple of observations:

- The Auto SS disable light is now permanently on - even after the car has been completely turned off... is this expected behavior?

- Turning off ASD didn't make as much of a difference as I thought it would... in the F30 it was like night and day

My ASS light turns off after 10 or 15 minutes. The car seems to shut down in stages with different interior lights turning off at different times.

Go ahead and give it a try. turn off the car , lock it, walk away and then come back without the key FOB and watch the Interior lights turn off.

Also the ASS Light Is one of the first things to turn on when you unlock the car. So it gives the appearance that it never turned off.

I already have the Euro rear fog light switch and might have to E-SYS route or just pay someone to code it for me.

I have the euro lights and switch in. When you try to turn on the rear fog it says it's not available. Let me know if you are able to get it to work.

I ended up going the esys route. It was pretty easy

Believe it or not I went back to stock BMW - was not a fan of the M cluster as it looked dated by comparison IMO.

Tried Alpina but that Alpina badge in the center made me feel like a 19 year old rocking a debadged 328 with modded exhaust. Something about a 330 saying anything Alpina just felt poserish lol.

The layout for Alpina was cool through, pretty much stick with more blue everywhere.

That is standard behavior - my 2016 m235 by default had SS memory enabled and always was off - light stayed on. It really is a status for engine behavior so it makes sense.

If I saw it off it would make we keep wondering if the memory was working #OSD

So guys.

I have a weird issue. When trying to connect to my adapter via WiFi, my phone refuses to connect to it even in airplane mode. This is because something called direct-bmw 06276 connects via WiFi the moment I put it in airplane mode and turn wifi on. This prevents my adapter from connecting and accessing bimmercode. How do I fix it? I tried disconnecting it from direct BMW. No go. I also tried forgetting direct BMW but I cannot get my phone to forget it. It keeps connecting automatically. I cannot disconnect because the moment it disconnects, it reconnects again and that cycle keeps repeating.

Bluetooth is off. My car does NOT have wifi hotspot or wireless charging or anything of the sort. My phone is only connected to idrive via Bluetooth but I turned it all off and put it in airplane mode. Any ideas?

I thought the phone connects to the adapter via Bluetooth.
