Just checked my Lease providers online portal and my estimated delivery date has moved from late July to early December for my 330e. Ordered early February.

I also ordered in February and my June date slipped to July so I’m now expecting it to be September at the very earliest but more likely December. If that’s the price of getting through this crisis then so be it, it’s a small inconvenience in the scheme of things IMHO.

The model year switch normally happens around now, it switches from MY20 to MY21. this is when they will start building the 330e touring aswell.

Mine ordered November, original build date this week with delivery end May. Now lease company say end August. Hopefully will come forward a bit. Not sure how a 6 week closure leads to a 10 -12 week delay?

I’d guess that starting production up from a full stop is more complicated that we might imagine. As they use a just in time model they are very reliant on suppliers being able to meet their demand and smaller (relatively) companies may find gearing up more challenging. So 2-4 weeks to get to 80% capacity might be realistic?

Bit of a 1st world problem really. More important everyone stays safe.

Contacted my dealer today. They still have skeleton staff. Apparently the factory may resume working on 18th May and the order scheduling system may start in June. There is due to be one shift starting on the 18th. I am thinking that my order has no chance of being delivered in September. Not sure what to do as my present PCP runs out in September. Not complaining as its nobody's fault but I do wonder what to do for the best.

That’s is confusing......mine has been rescheduled again (having been unscheduled during factory closure) and I was told the factory is open. This was all last week. Will try to find out more tomorrow!

I spoke to my lease company today and there’s plenty of confusion. My order is still valid but the delivery date is unknown until at least the 25th May when they are expecting some updates from BMW. As always 1st world problem especially as I’m likely to be WFH until at least November! If a delay keeps people safe then that’s fine by me.

I'm in exactly the same position. I'm actually contemplating VTing although I need to get a kerbed alloy and bumper scruff repaired. Have only driven the m140 3 times in the past two months.

Hey guys, anyone know what the lead time is now for ordering a 330e MSport?

How are people getting on whose deliveries got pushed back due to covid?

My lease company have confirmed a build start in the last week of June with delivery expected in the first week of August. Preferred on the 29th Jan and originally estimated for 24th if July.

Mine ordered end Nov. Original build date end April. Then delayed for CV19. Alledgedly in build this week (fingers crossed) with delivery to dealer mid July.

Ordered end of February, now predicted to be September 14th approx.
Not sure I can verify this as having trouble getting order number.

I have my order number, I’m not sure if that helps me as my car is coming via LeasePlan. I know the supplying dealership but they are keeping me well informed so not sure if there’s any advantage in chasing it.

If you have the BMW order number (7 digits) you can use the online genius live chat to keep updated with the order.

I managed to secure what was classed as a 'stock' car in the middle of March through Leaseplan and it arrived with me last week, was supposed to arrive end of May so was only actually delayed by about a week or so in the end.

BMW removed the car for a while and repriced it I think.
