No problem. It lists my VIN number and colour etc on the form but left that off, so they are specific to each vehicle.

I'm gonna try and get one of those! It's totally clear from the BMW website that the 330e is at worst 12% for 20/21 but seems like some fleet management companies are too lazy to work it out....

That's how I'm reading it, and have put forward to the company and the lease provider.

I've requested the certificate of conformity as per Lloydsters post. See if that is different (assuming they supply it to me)

Managed to exchange emails with a representative of the dealer today.

They mentioned:
"From 06/04/20 the range is important it was not on earlier tax years where I think the confusion is coming from at the lease company.

I think your car should have a range of 41 miles under NEDC2 but you need it in writing from lease company from the data BMW send them."

BMW should provide the cerificate of conformity, that will put the issue to bed once and for all. They should have no issue providing this as its a legal item for any product sold in the EU.

Any product tested to a European standard has to have this certificate and they as the manufacturer have to provide a copy if requested.

Frustratingly, mine still set at 14% thanks to the lease company. I'm kicking up a right stink.

Good news on your front though !!

About to phone the lease company again, in the hope they have sorted internally

Lease company have now (finally) admitted to their error - caused in two parts. 1 - Misunderstanding the new BIK tax rules and 2 - Not having the correct data from manufacturers.

Hopefully now get money back in June ...

yeah the HMRC web calculator is now updated with all NEDC/WLPT figures, depending when car was registered and seems spot on now.

Paul, can you advise exactly what the leasing Company sent to you? HMRC are charging me 14% and wont budge!

They have sent me an email outlining the new BIK rate and charges. They will also send a report to my payroll department - for them to implement (I am taxed at source). This is based on BMWs data of their vehicles inc the CO2 and all electric ranges under the NEDC calcs.

You can get proof, by requesting the Certificate of Conformity from BMW, and use that with HMRC (and their tax calculator).

Paul, is this with Arval? I've also had a problem and they finally admitted it was all wrong after I raised a formal complaint with HR.

However they came back and told me "12%" but the number (£4428.71) they've given me would imply 10% which makes me think they're applying the post April 2020 rule on my Sept 2019 car.

16% is £7128 - what I was paying in FY19
14% is £6238 - what I've been paying since April '20
10% is £4428 - what they've told me I will pay going forward, with rebate for over payment to date
8% is £3542 - what I should perhaps pay??

Will try and get the official cert from the supplying dealer and see where that leads.
