There is some confusion over the lease to lease cash. It *may* not exist anymore. We’ve arrived at a compromise, but I’m curious to hear what you run into.

I don't qualify for the lease to lease or loyalty since I'm coming from MB, I'm wondering about if the 1500 is indeed a lease credit for all customers hopefully that stacks with my fleet discount. I also heard that if the 6 months haven't hit yet on your bmwcca the dealer can add it as an incentive

Regarding fleet and CCA, see the BMWCCA rebate webpage, bottom right, under "Exclusions":

Got the deal done last night
2020 BMW M340i xdrive MSRP: $64,700 Sale Price: $59,207 (8.5% discount) Incentives: $1,500 lease cash, $500 loyalty; $500 lease to lease Adjusted Cap Cost: $56,707 Money owed on trade: $7,002 ($200/mo essentially) Monthly Payment: $ 899 (including tax of 8.25%) 7 MSD+ 1st month payment-$658 + Fees Months: 36 Annual Mileage: 12,000 MF (before MSD's): 0.00082 MF (after MSD) .00047 Residual:57% Running the numbers WITHOUT the upside trade, it comes out to roughly $588 pre tax, $636 with tax. HUGE shout out to mf44 . It took a little work. They tried to play games with the MF, BMW incentives, and of course their discount. If you had not posted those numbers ahead of time I would have overpaid by $50/mo at least. So thank you so much. I def. got hosed on the X3M since they were hot and money wasn't cheap when I got it. Plus it was my first BMW so I lost out on any loyalty or lease to lease money at the time. Even after putting the negative equity into the monthly, I am still quite a bit cheaper per month! There is very little inventory at the moment. I would had preferred a little more optioned up car (adaptive suspension & 360 camera), but if I waited, the value of my X3M would only had gone down. I chose an adaptive cruise car over the other cars since I get more use out of that function than the others. The dealer really wanted my trade and offered what BMWFS offered to take it last month with 3K less miles ($62K). I disliked the car THAT much that I decided to just pay to get out. So far I am really digging the new systems plus remote start. Plus the lower payment never hurts either. Quote:

The residual drop, at least for 10k/year, is only 1% (59% to 58%). The $1500 lease cash more than offsets that. You are going to come out ahead with the additional lease cash this month, regardless of the residual drop. You also need to remember the MF is reduced, as well, further benefitting any October buyer.

Picked up the new car last night. There was an issue where the BMWFS system only showed $1000 in incentives, but the programs sheet (and bmwusa.com) showed at least $2000. Took an hour or two to sort that issue out. There was also no documentation anywhere of the lease to lease cash being there for October programs, but we were able to come to an agreement. That's what I get for picking up on the first of the month.
The exhaust appears to crack/pop less than my dad's '20 M340i after driving them back to back last night. The start/stop is insanely smooth, though. Way better than my previous gen 4GC. |

I had no problem with my CA applying $2k incentive but they took it off the end after tax claiming that the rebate is taxable. But according to the way it reads is credit is applied off of msrp. Somehow I think dealer benefited from this. But whatever, glad my car is finally here and just in time for 2021 incentives.

For example. MSRP: $50,000 Dealer discount: $5,000 BMW incentive: $2,000 You would be taxed on $48,000, even though the purchase price would be $43,000. Also, BMW incentive is actually $2500 if you were getting out of a previous lease. My dealer kept saying $2,000 until I pushed the lease to lease credit and they applied the extra $500 for a total of $2500. |

Hey guys - My 440i lease ends in January...what timeline are we looking at if ordering an M340i from the factory at this point? Seems things have been backed up but hopefully things are a little smoother?

One other thing to keep in mind: if you are currently leasing a BMW and have a new BMW on order, you are permitted to extend your lease until the new car arrives.
