Any good recommendations for nationwide dealers that can offer favorable pricing on custom orders? I reached out to Bimmerdavid.com twice based on recommendations I had seen here but never heard back.

There are a few brokers offering 9-11 % off the msrp the ones I know of are located in the north east. What you can do is place a order with them and do a PCD and take the trip from SC back to Texas. A little road trip but it will speed up the break in period

Looks like we got some lease credit for October ($1500?) and loyalty ($500) but the residual dropped 1% for M340s (based on what I see from bmwusa.com)? I wonder if the special $500 lease loyalty is also still available? Overall, slightly better for October. I pick up my car this afternoon 😃

What is standard off MSRP for an M340ix?

I stopped at a dealer yesterday and the best they would do was 5% off sticker (61.5K) & $500 BMW credit. With 7MSD they wanted something like $820/mo.

I told them I would sign @ $600/mo with taxes (approx 12% off total) and they looked at me like I had 3 heads and said the most they could do was 6%.

I walked away since they didn't have one with the package I wanted and they didn't seem interested in playing hard ball.

Right now, for ordered cars, brokers can get you between 9 and 10.5% before applying any available incentives, with base MF. This should help you in defining what is doable.

Thank you for the quick reply. Are ordered cars generally better discounted than ones sitting on the lots?

Running rough numbers, a 62K car @ 8% + $1500 lease credit (not sure about loyalty credit?) should sit about $630 pre tax with no MSD (12K a year). Closer to $600/mo if the dealer is giving 10%.

I wouldn't feel so bad about losing money on the X3M if the payment is that low.

In normal times you would get a better deal on an in stock unit. However, with inventory still relatively tight, ordered cars sometimes have a better discount right now.

The main reason i gave this info is because it gives you a floor. If a dealer can't match or beat that on an in stock unit, you always have the option to order through a broker.

That being said, the brokers I know of are in the northeast and it doesn't look like you are. You'd either need to find a broker local to you or ship a car.

Lease to lease credit is still there, I'm told. Does anyone know if BMW has a minimum MF after applying MSDs?

Assuming your CA is correct, that's great! I've heard some other brands bottom out at .0005. .00047 is what it would be with max MSDs applied, so that would be nice.

Thoughts on this deal:

MSRP: $64,650
36/10K (supposed to be 12K)
I owe 7K on my trade
7x MSD
8.25% tax rate
$0 down other than MSD & Docs
$904/mo

If you back the trade out, ~$200/mo, that drops to $700/mo with tax/$646 pre-tax.

Using the calculator that comes out to 7% total off MSRP using .00082 MF which is a good deal, but still not great imo.

I told him I wanted $825 w/trade originally. That comes to roughly 11% off MSRP. $75 over 36 payments is a decent amount. Either way, the payment is substantially less than I am paying now, even being upside down, so that is the plus

RoyB, I think you need to get a better breakdown from your dealer. Assuming the following:

-$64650 MSRP
-7% pre-incentive discount
-base MF (.00082)
-max MSDs (reducing MF to .00047)
-$2500 in taxable incentives ($1500 dealer cash, $500 loyalty, $500 BMW lease to lease cash)
-paying DMV and dealer doc fees upfront
-8.25% tax rate

I'm getting $630 pre-tax, $682 including tax. This is without factoring in your negative equity. Without an exact number on the negative equity, we can't give an exact number on a target payment. I'm wondering if they are marking up the MF any, or including incentives in your discount?

Yes, I agree. this was over the phone so he rattled off a bunch of things.

Key words were
  • $1000 under invoice
  • no markup on mf
  • $904/mo

I tried to run the numbers backwards and we seem pretty close. My payoff is $69,000. They are offering $62,000 buyout (matching BMFS early termination amount).

The rest of the numbers I kind of filled in.

I do much better seeing numbers in person.

They started at $1080 and I told him he was nuts.

It appears like:

.00082 MF

Any recommendations on a good California dealer? Preferably northern but willing to drive south if needed. Looking to trade in my 2018 330i and lease a M340i after I get this extended warranty I purchased refunded.

If you don't mind when you take delivery share what were the incentives there seems to be a lot of confusion and ambiguity
