It’s very odd people are reporting two very different things. We have video evidence of ‘21s being muted even in Sport mode, and some others saying it sounds just like a ‘20. So either BMW changed the tuning at some point or they changed the part, but either way it doesn’t seem like they bothered to tell anyone, which is disappointing considering how well the ‘20s sound and was a selling point for many people.

Thanks for the input!
The plant was closed for the majority of August as they retooled for the i4.

That said, I was originally September but that got pushed to October now.

US spec cars built in Germany have specific weeks that they are built.
So the factory is confirmed to reopen in Oct? I ordered mine Dravit 340i Touring back in Jul and the sales stated it will be in production in Sep but even until now there's no update

They were closed the month of August - started back up beginning of September. It's definitely open, mine was built two weeks ago.

JayPichardo has your car arrived yet? Can you comment on the 2021s exhaust vs the 2020s?
I just purchased the 2021 m340i and sadly disappointed with the new mild hybrid. The exhaust DOES NOT burble at all compared to the 2020. Cold start, at take off, sport plus, nothing to get the exhaust to burble compared to the 2020.

I did the same last week... except I don't work at a dealer for the sweet 1yr lease! So I am in for a 2024 M3 LCI 1.0.

Just watched a 2021 M440i doing Revs on Rati's Rides and there are no pops at all. Guess it doesn't matter if it's a 3 or 4 series. They've removed them totally. Sucks because I was looking forward to hearing that on mine and I don't want or like Aftermarket Exhausts.
