Help with install of rear diffuser

I bought a rear diffuser for my m340 and I was easily able to pop off the middle to lower tabs of the diffuser but having difficulty pooping the 2 corner tabs in the middle section as the tabs are thicker then the middle one. Not sure the technique for this is. The middle ones I was able to put a flat head through it easily and pop but the corners of middle there isn't a slots for the screw driver. I'll put pics of what I mean below. I appreciate any help. Thank you.

And I popped them back in as wasn't able to get it but you can see the skinny tab compared to how the corners are.

Section 18 (page 25 I believe) provides factory install instructions for the rear diffuser. I know this doesn't specifically solve your removal predicament but maybe the diagrams showing the tabs etc will help a bit

I used brute force. Wasn't pleasant, but it came away undamaged

haha yeah defiantly is not pleasant I was trying that and the whole bumper seemed like it was going to come with it. So wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something like a technique of doing it. So you noticed this same larger clip and all you did was pull down and out or did you pop it with a screwdriver then pull? Thanks.

On YouTube there is a really good video of it, look up m340 rear diffuser and it shouldn't require any brute strength at all

So this was really a pain for me to do, but since u got some of the tabs out, it’s the same concept. I used something small like keys to push on the tabs and make sure it doesn’t pop back in the hole. You can’t be scared just put extra force and elbow grease. Good luck!

I have a genuine diffuser and went to install it on my lunchbreak and unlike my old F31 Estate this is a right pain to get the original one off. Looking at videos it looks simple but I cannot get it to come off the bumper very frustrating! Will give it another go on tomorrows lunch beak!

Day 2 as some people have said get the side clips out 1st and then brute force and off it comes...quite scary but nothing broken.

I purchased the akamotorsports rear diffuser along with side skirts and front lip.. the pictures on their page looked great and the reviews seemed okay. Well, I was unable to get the rear diffuser to install properly. The clips along the side/corner kept popping out, no matter how many times I tried - it would not secure. Moreover, the side/canard pieces did not line up evenly with the diffuser along the base of the bumper, there was a gap. I took pictures and a video that I am going to email them and see what the response is.
