Also all the aftermarket vendors, who also happen to be the bimmerpost sponsors, are not exactly happy over all the random dudes with “strong opinions” because it negatively impacts their business. The sponsors should have every right to decide who posts here and who doesn’t.

I understand the problem but just I also think that some people with “strong opinions” about BMW might scare away potential first time BMW buyers who are naive enough to trust the opinion of some of the self-proclaimed car enthusiasts on this forum.
I don't think Mtown needs to do that. The design team is doing it very well by producing self harm level beaver designs

Still looks bad. Very much a minivan look and has no BMW styling elements.

Despite what you've read on the internet, shoddy workmanship is not a given. Not by a long shot. Some people have had negative experiences, the vast majority don't. You don't read about them, because very few ppl log into internet forums to say, "yea it's all good". Our Model Y workmanship is as good as any of my bimmers were. The leather thing I can appreciate. They won't use cowhides. I can dig that, so deal with slightly inferior feel with the pleather.

It's correct I read electric car news daily and it's always something about Tesla quality

And several Tesla Model S' have had their glass roof blow off on the freeway

Drive a Model 3 in heavy rain the back bumper flies off the car

And Tesla charges $1000 for Paint - It should be perfect

Probably the worst Paint in the industry currently

The only thing similar about that car is the color you clearly know nothing about automobile design or possibly your blind

I can see why mods banned you and won't reply to you now.

What does what I read on the internet have to do with anything? What I said is based purely on my own experiences driving my friend's Model S and riding in several other Tesla Model Ss over the years and then asking those same friends how could they put up with the shitty ass interiors, super thin leather that feels more like my 2005 Acura TSX and is much worse than my first BMW 335is, and the panel gaps, etc.

They all pretty much were enamored with the acceleration, no gas, and the cool features. This is not based on anything I read.

As for the pleather being an excuse, frankly that's even worse. if it's fake leather, they can actually make it thicker and feel better, but they don't. I have no problems at all with BMW's fake leather Sensatec b/c it's great and is durable and feels higher end. Maybe I'd be willing to deal with the shitty pleather if the cars were econo shit boxes rather than expensive EVs.

I'm ok with this although the wheels are gross and the front bumper/hood doesn't make any sense for an all electric powertrain. Otherwise I think it's interesting, especially if it ends up being competitive with a Model Y Performance.

I believe this car is actually aimed at the Tesla Model S if I am correct

The Polestar 2 looks great I configured it with Void colour with barley and woodgrain interior looks awesome and it is pitched at model 3 prices(just browsing no intention to buy).

Stop with that grille already. It just does not look good on any car.

No thanks. The front I can get used to. Not liking the floating roof design at the rear quarter panel or the overstyled bumpers

That seems to be a general design constraint of BEVs: No engine, so shorter bonnet, as low a drag coefficient as possible to help range, so less steep windshield. That leads to a minivan-kinda form, see also the Skoda Enyaq or the VW ID.4.

It's pretty hard for a taller person to sit comfortably in the back. I'm 1.90m and I hit the roof when I tried.

But otherwise, I agree it's nice, but Polestar also seems to have QA issues and had to run recalls.

There are no official specs and only projected numbers because the iX is a concept car and was announced as a concept car.

The fact that someone would consider not buying a car because they don't have access to an internet forum for that car seems a bit of a stretch...

Back on topic, it's definitely cool to see "real life" pictures of one of these. Surely that won't be the only wheel style available, so I'm sure we will see some non-aero styled wheels once the production model is shown.

Your wish may be granted. The official EPA (NOT Euro WLTP) range should be about 320 miles which is quite impressive relative to other Euro EVs like the Audi e-tron gt which will only have about 250 miles max.
