Dyno Torque Reading Higher Than Data Log Reading
Hi fellow bimmers, is it normal that the car's actual dyno reading of torque is higher than the one recorded in the Torque at Clutch data log?
Please refer to the readings of RunFile_2 and RunFile_3 and their corresponding logs: RunFile_2 >> https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=64c1...0b43dd743a58ed RunFile_3 >> https://www.bootmod3.net/log?id=64c1...90c6739b864cae For both runs, I am running on E26. The car has following mods (1) Pure 800 Hybrid Turbo (2) CTS Catted Down Pipe (3) CSF Charge Cooler Manifold (4) Akrapovic Catback Exhaust (5) Eventuri Intake (6) Custom BM3 Tune The reason I am asking this question is because the car is unable to run more than E26 mix as the HPFP tends to crash when boost is above 1.4 bar (21 psi) and mixture exceeds E15. I have replaced both the HPFP and LPFP (stock, new hardware from dealer). The current revision by the custom tuner seems to be the most stable one however I think the car should be able to support more boost say around 25 psi at E30. Is there a possibility of other hardware fault that is causing this issue? |

The log isn't actually recording live torque figures. Dyno's also are a tuning tool. It's not meant to be literal. You can't compare the log torque vs a dyno. There's no comparison here.

I'm assuming the torque at clutch value is also a calculation from other measured parameters, so it's an estimate?
The dyno result is also an estimate trying to calculate the engine performance from the measurements at the wheels. This article discuss the problems to do this accurately: https://www.motortrend.com/how-to/hr...is-dyno-guide/ |
