Auto Start Stop

Quick question everyone, I received my 2024 M340xi a little under a month ago. Whenever I drive in comfort mode, the auto start stop feature is something I just can’t get used to. It sucks how they got rid of the button to disable it and I was wondering, if I were to code it out through bimmercode, will that void my warranty? I’ve heard mixed reviews about this and want to know everyone’s input before I choose to do it.

People are generally talking about tunes when it comes to voiding a warranty. You should be safe coding this out.

If you're really concerned, you can just set up your individual mode to make everything basically comfort.

I’ve coded a million things including ASS away and dealership didn’t bat an eye. No worries.

UPDATE: Tried to code the ASS earlier and I didn’t realize that the specific system software I’m on, doesn’t allow you to code it off on Bimmercode at the moment. Has anyone had any luck or heard if there will be an update on the app?

I believe it’s if you have the 2023/3 or later software that it’s an issue so people were being impacted where it had worked previously but following the update, could no longer do this
I believe the workaround is to code sport I dividual as the default mode instead of comfort

The one-button-press answer to disable ASS while in Comfort mode is to configure Sport Individual mode to all Comfort settings.

That’s a common error. It should go away after a day or so. But it’s good practice to make sure all your lights are off when coding and not in auto where the drls are on.

No worries. I panicked and did the same thing the first time I got that error. It clears itself by the next day.

BimmerCode having automated backups is a lifesaver though.

Also since I’m new to all of this, when I code it to be on sport individual, there’s also an option for sport individual (hybrid). Do I have to choose that one since the 2024 m340 is a mild hybrid or it doesn’t matter and choose the regular sport individual? Thank you again!
