Weird brake feel with mild hybrid

Anyone know how to improve brake feel on the m340i with mild hybrid? The regen seems to come on and off inconsistently and there is almost no pedal feel to speak of. Would stainless brake lines help or is the regen braking from the mild hybrid system still going to be funky?

Driving it in Sport mode seems to help get rid of that feeling for me.

I think the regen is cycling on and off as you press the pedal, and the exact “on” point is hard to predict. It should be better.

I’ll have to try sport mode more often and see how the brakes work. I’m usually only in sport mode at higher speeds, and never paid attention to the braking at low speeds.

I haven’t noticed it being any better in sport mode honestly. I coded it to default to sport individual at startup so I’m driving in sport 99% of the time.

Before purchasing my 340i LCI 2023, I test drove a 340D and 340I.
The 340i was from 2019 without mild hybrid. It braked very well. The M340D had mild hybrid. With this one I had to press the brake much harder. That was very striking. The test drives were consecutive. Now with my 340i Lci I have that braking feeling too. I actually have to press the brake way too hard. So I think it is due to the mild hybrid. It does not give me a safe feeling during a fast drive. This is a disappointment to me for such an expensive car.

I think brake pedal feel and engagement improved once I switched to SS brake lines, motul fluid and HPS 5.0 pads (street pad) / CSG CP (track). Much more firm and confident/consistent brake pedal feel.
