I went black for brake dust reasons alone. But this might be another advantage, depending on your whole take on the rear brakes.

Well, we could all try a glass-half-full approach and look at it as un-sprung weight savings as the rear brakes don't do the lion's share of the braking anyway? :-)

...and yet they are so wee...
