USB Music Help
I was hoping someone smarter than me can help me out. Ive read several threads talking about the topic but couldnt find anything that matched my issue. I have a 2023 G20 LCI. I purchased a SanDisk 256GB Ultra Fit thumbdrive to put my music collection on since iPod didnt work. I used CopyTrans to pull all my music off my iPod and it sorted everything in folders artist/album/songs. Everything looked great so I copied it onto the thumbdrive with a root folder of music so it looked like drive:/music/artist/album/song. I plugged it into the my USB port by the cup holders and it only recognizes one song. I can manually go in and see that it sees the root music folder but only one folder below that with one lonely song. I thought that was odd and read some posts about formatting the drive so reformated it to NTFS, copied everything over again and got the same result after plugging drive back into car. What am I doing wrong? Any suggestions?

I have a simple set up on a 128gb usb stick. Only 2 folders, MUSIC and PLAYLISTS (m3u format). Works a treat and easily maintained.

I ended up just filtering everything out using *.mp3 and copying it over to the drive. That seems to have worked and the car is sorting everything usin metadata.
