Dash trim removal

Does anyone know if it's possible to remove (without damaging) the glossy black trim piece between the instrument cluster and the driver's side door. I've developed a buzz from the dash over bumps or rougher patches of road and I've pinpointed it to this trim piece. There's either something loose behind it or it's vibrating against another trim piece.

I'd like to remove it to see if I can secure whatever is loose or insert a piece of felt to stop the trim from contacting another piece. I tried to access the back of the trim piece by going through the access in the door jamb, but the dash structure blocks access to the back of the glossy black piece.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks!
