You might be in for another new experience with the M340i mild hybrid brakes. It feels like they use the energy recovery system first as you press on the pedal, and then at some point switch to more normal braking mode.
If you do a lot of driving in slow traffic the brake engagement can feel very nonlinear. You press lightly on the pedal to slow down in light traffic, and then press a little down farther as traffic slows, and then at some point the car slows down much more quickly. It’s not noticeable during harder braking because the transition happens quickly, but creeping along in traffic makes it more evident. |

Thanks! And your comment on the last ICE is really my main idea: I want to get one last ICE before there is a large craze of people buying these cars and I'm stuck without one

I just posted my thoughts on my next car a 2023 M340ix here: https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...php?p=30332431
I liked the 330 but wanted more power. I also wanted to add there has been some instances on the 330 where I hit a dead zone on the pedal in Comfort Mode where the car doesn't respond in like 1-2 seconds. It seems to be when I am slowing down say, at a red light, but it then goes go green and I (try to) begin to accelerate. This is sort of mitigated in Sport Mode but I still experienced. Only maybe 4 to 5 times. The first time I wasn't expecting it and almost had a Bad Time if you know what I mean. Maybe I just needed to be more aware and smash the pedal down instead of using it normally for me. Thank you! |
