Well based on the renderings, I think the M3 looks much better than the M4.....but that's just my personal opinion. Good job OP.

Skillful renders and likely very close to how the cars will look in the configurator. The problem for me is that I hardly recognize my own cars when built in the configurator...so I’m not going to judge the G8X cars from it.

100%! Just need to have the debate with my wife on whether we go in this direction on top of my F80 or get an RS6. Decisions decisions!

Great renders!

No, I would not order one because of the atrocious front end.

If the BMW design team showed up at my front door, pissed on the mat, and kicked my dog in the face, I would forgive them sooner than I will for what the have done here. The grille is a visual atrocity. And I say this with love, as a 6-time BMW owner, dyed in the wool fanatic.

The render quality is excellent though, great job dude.

I wouldn't be surprised if this render was at least 80% accurate to the production car, only time will tell.

I'll probably end up getting one in black but only if vorsteiner gives me an aftermarket bumper. I refuse to accept that disaster of a front end. And I promise its not even the kidney grilles that's bother me most, it's all the other wacky likes and shapes. Makes no sense.

You know BMW is admitting defeat here when they said they would not use these disgustingly large grilles on any other BMWs. That says all we need to know on this topic. Luckily for BMW, they will just blame the recession and pandemic for the poor sales and fire the design team after next year.

I don't get the reverse nostril on the hood and the origami bumper intake edges. Over-styled is on point.

That was the plan from the beginning, long before COVID. We've known this was a 4/i4/M3/M4 exclusive since last summer... you know, back when people argued that the grilles would never happen.

G11 is a first in the history to my knowledge that BMW changes front end design (headlight shaping, front bumper and the grille of course) with the LCI.

The changes also happened to G30 LCI, albeit not that radically, as a proof that LCI design change is not the unicorn with G11 and will be a trend with G generation cars.

The G20 will most likely receive a L shaped headlight, slightly vertically grown grille, and a more smily face on the sides. Eventually changes will go to the G80/82 (less than 2 years from its launch). And personally, I'd think with some tweaks they can make the grille look right.

Also it's already a given that S58 will receive a TU at some point of its lifecycle (could be at LCI or later), with 48v incorporation for efficiency improvement, and most importantly tackling the turbo lag issue.

For the S58 engine, I don't know what else but it's by far BMW's laggiest motor of all time. I know a lot guys in the US, where they live, everywhere it's a 10+min drive with basically no traffic, average pace shown on the Idrive are 30mph or more, so they're less sensitive to turbo lag. For those living in downtown and having traffic to deal with, the S58 will be as slow as if not slower than a B48. Go check Joe Achilles video, he compared X3M vs X3 M40i in gear acceleration, the M40i is way quicker. M40i is a easier SUV to drive and a better all around SUV day to day, simply for the strong engine (yes, it's weird to call a series engine strong when compared to the supposedly stronger M engine).

It's a very bad time now to be the early adaptors of any G gen pre LCI cars unless the plan is to flip every less than 2-3 years. BMW has been very unsettled with the Pre LCI G generation cars both technologically and aesthetically. All the fixable issues, they will fix with the LCI.

OP, great job on the render. Seeing this almost bothers me even more, because it was so close to being an incredible car.
